Get to know Domes Aulus hotels

Fancy a luxury Greek getaway? Find out what Domes Aulus has in store.
If food is top of your agenda when you go on holiday, you might just have found your new go-to brand. Domes, the name behind a hand-picked collection of hotels in Greece and Portugal, have launched Domes Aulus – a foodie-focussed branch of their main collection. With two All Inclusive hotels in Greece, they’re seriously raising the bar when it comes to culinary getaways – and the standout features go well beyond the food. Let’s take a closer look at each property to see what’s on the menu…

Domes Aulus Elounda, Curio Collection by Hilton – Crete

This adults-only hotel stepped out with a brand-new look in 2022, in line with the launch of Domes Aulus. That means the whole place sports super chic interiors, and the rooms – particularly the open-plan suites – look like something out of an interiors magazine.

When it comes to dining, there are four restaurants to choose from here, and the menu spans Cretan and Mediterranean fare. Tuck into a meze platter by the pool, try Greek classics at the buffet, or pick up some gourmet street food at Amphiteátro. The latter is the place to head to for cocktails and cinema screenings under the stars, plus 360-degree views of the sea.

Speaking of which, the outlook from here really is worth writing home about – and there are a couple of cliffside pools to really make the most of the Gulf of Elounda view. There’s another pool in the Soma Spa, which has a long list of luxurious treatments if you fancy paying a bit extra.

Domes Aulus Zante, Autograph Collection – Zante

This hotel has claimed a stellar spot on Zante’s longest beach, a sandy stretch where Loggerhead sea turtles come to nest. It’s wrapped in leafy pine forest, so you get a laidback locale that’s as pretty as a postcard. On the other hand, you’re within easy walking distance of Zante’s shops, bars and restaurants when you fancy a faster pace.

Restaurant-wise, this place flaunts Domes Aulus’ signature foodie style. There’s a canteen-style place that serves street foods like gyros and souvlaki three days a week, a Greek meze place, a barbecue joint and an Italian à la carte. Greek favourites star alongside seafood and salads at the buffet, which also hosts show cooking and has a dedicated kids’ buffet.

On the subject of younger guests, there are some really nice touches for little ones here and a real focus on eco-wellness. The hotel’s 50 acres of land, for example, make the perfect spot for kids’ wellness classes in the learning garden, as well as grown-up experiences like yoga and meditation in the forest.
