Here at TUI, we’re known for our huge range of laidback beach holidays. But did you know that we offer loads of adrenaline-pumping activities that you can add to your break, too? Our collection of TUI experiences ticks off everything a thrillseeker could ask for, including the likes of rock climbing, quad-biking tours and canyoning. To help you get to grips with the exciting activities you can pick from, here’s a snapshot of our offering…
Over a quarter of Costa Rica is protected by national parks, nature reserves and wildlife refuges. Mixed into this pinch-me landscape of sprawling rainforests, dense jungles and sky-high mountain ranges are a spider’s web of waterways, a handful of which offer up some of Central America’s best white-water rafting territory. The River Tenorio, the Savegre River and the Sarapiqui River are just three of the channels we offer white-water rafting experiences along. Plus, you don’t have to be an expert rafter to make the most of these activities – they’re all perfectly suited for beginners.

Does swimming, hiking, diving, jumping and abseiling through canyons sound like your cup of tea? We’ve got a selection of canyoning experiences across some of our destinations, including Turkey. The country’s Antalya region is sprinkled with winding canyons that are worthy of any adventurer’s attention, especially the Ahmetler Canyon. This place is millions of years old, and is pockmarked by a string of Instagram-worthy natural pools that you can splash in throughout your experience. What’s more, all of our canyoning adventures are led by fully trained guides, meaning you’re in safe hands at all times.
Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula is plastered with action-packed jungle, a lot of which is within driving distance of some of the area’s biggest seafront hotels. If you fancy getting your adrenaline levels up while seeing a portion of this side of Mexico for yourself, our Selvatica adventure tours tick all the boxes. These full-day experiences take you into the heart of the Yucatan’s jungles, which you can whiz through on 50-metre-high zip lines, skid through on quad bikes and hike through on skywalk trails – these elevated walkways weave through the tree canopy. The area’s also home to a handful of cenotes – picturesque sunken natural pools – where you can round off your trip with a refreshing dip.

Tenerife, in Spain’s Canary Islands, is known all over for its wow-worthy scenery. The coasts all around the island are sprinkled with sweeping sandy belts, and the countryside packs in mile after mile of rolling hillsides. Plus, a soaring volcano – Mount Teide – sits at the centre of all of it. One of the best ways to get a good look at all of this is from the air on a tandem paraglider. We offer plenty of paraglider experiences in Tenerife, during all of which you’ll fly with a pilot who has over 20 years of expertise. They’ll take care of the controls while you take in the views from thousands of feet above the ground.

The Greek island of Rhodes is renowned for its pebbly beaches and fancy sea-view hotels. But it’s also home to some of the country’s best rock climbing territory, with a variety of rock faces – some of which are right on the seafront – for you to conquer. Our rock climbing experiences here are run by qualified guides, who’ll take you to Ladiko – in northern Rhodes – for a few hours of climbing on beginner-ready routes. They’ll get you kitted out with all the right equipment, and show you a few techniques to help you efficiently scale a handful of 30-metre-high rock faces. And, if that wasn’t thrilling enough, you’ll round off the experience by hiking to the top of the walls and abseiling back down again.
