Step 2 – Decide when you want to go
There are a few things to think about when you’re deciding on the right time to visit Universal Orlando Resort, from seasonal events to how hot it might be.
Seasonal events
Tie in an event to your holiday. Calendar highlights include Halloween Horror Nights*, which come complete with haunted houses, scare zones and live entertainment. In December, dive into festive events, like Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. Or, time your trip to coincide with Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavour of Carnaval, which runs from early February to mid-April and ticks off food and carnival celebrations from around the world.
Check out Universal's events.
The school holidays
Travelling with school-age children means you’ll likely be tied to visiting Universal Orlando Resort in the holidays. August in general is one of quieter times to go as the American school holidays are over, but it can be quite hot and humid.
Step 4 – Add your Park Tickets
After you’ve chosen your hotel and travel dates, start thinking about your Universal Orlando Resort Park Tickets. These are something you need to select in the booking process – they don’t just get added automatically. We recommend adding the Universal Orlando All Parks Ticket, which gives you 14 consecutive days of unlimited park-to-park access, to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Volcano Bay water theme park††, and Universal Epic Universe.
