Introducing P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises overview

With over 180 years of experience on the high seas, P&O Cruises epitomises the best of modern British cruising. Onboard, you can savour delicious meals, relax and recharge, and choose from a whole host of daytime and evening activities. And no matter which itinerary you go for, you know you’ll be getting great value for money.

Cruise ships

There are seven ships in the P&O Cruises fleet. Five are geared up for families, while the other two are exclusively for adults. Arvia is the latest ship to join the family-friendly line-up. It comes complete with 26 bars and restaurants, six theatres and lounges and five pools. Arvia also features a few firsts for P&O Cruises, including Altitude High Ropes and Mini Golf. But whichever ship you choose to sail on, you can look forward to decks packed with choice.

Itineraries and destinations

You can sail to a huge crop of destinations on a P&O Cruises holiday, from the dramatic Norwegian fjords to the sunny shores of the Caribbean. Most of the travelling will happen while you’re asleep, so you’ll get a full day in most ports. That means you’ll have plenty of time to see the sights and experience what each destination’s all about. Some itineraries sail from Southampton, while others include flights from a regional airport.

Onboard experience and service

Top-notch meals and entertainment are part and parcel of a P&O Cruises holiday. So, you can look forward to the likes of á la carte dining, professional shows and sports sessions without forking out any extra money. Tips are included, too, so you don’t need to worry about bringing cash onboard.

Dining

Every P&O Cruises ship offers a diverse choice of dining options, from informal buffets and snack bars to black tie celebration evenings with five-course menus by Marco Pierre White. Both buffet and á la carte restaurants are included in your package. You’ll also get essential drinks like tea, coffee and juices thrown in at mealtimes.

Accommodation

P&O Cruises have a great range of stylish cabins to pick from across their fleet. Each one comes with daily steward service to ensure it’s kept clean and comfortable throughout your trip. You’ll also have a TV with live channels and films, plus access to information like weather updates, live navigation information and the cruise radio.

Entertainment

Each of P&O Cruises’ ships are perfectly set up for socialising, whether you want to get glammed up or keep it casual. Live music, professional shows, cinema screenings, comedy nights and magicians are all part of the line-up. There’s something different to look forward to each night, so you won’t get bored.

Activities

Sea days offer oceans of possibility with P&O Cruises. You can relax by one of the pools, play some tennis or football, or work up a sweat in the gym. There are quizzes, talks and demonstrations to look out for, too. And most of the ships show off their very own libraries – perfect if you want to while away a few hours with a good book.

Optional extras

P&O Cruises offer a handful of experiences that can make your holiday extra special. From Champagne breakfast in bed to spa packages, there’s something to suit every occasion. You can purchase drinks packages to cover things like sodas, alcoholic drinks and Costa Coffee. There are a few speciality restaurants that you can dine in for an extra charge, too.
