With its playground, soft-play area and kids splash park, this place is well geared up for families.
These low-rise, whitewashed apartments are split into two halves, which are divided by a small, quiet road. The main pool is on one side, and there’s a children’s mini waterpark on the other.

Our 4th visit and the SetH staff are so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Apartments are well kitted out and are cleaned to a high standard. The restaurant offers multiple choices eg Fish, Meat, Pasta, Vegetarian as hot food and there is also multiple choice in the salad bar. This is definitely the place for young families as there is plenty of things for children to do to occupy themselves. Being grand-parents ourselves, the only downside for us was the lack of entertainment for the adults - apparently the entertainment is organised by the TUI (Thomson) reps and not SetH staff. Having said that we would return next year.More
A perfect apartment for families with small children.
I have recently stayed at the Mestral and Llebeig apartments with my husband and 8 month old son. It was our first holiday abroad and this was the perfect destination and accommodation for us. With Menorca only being approx. 2 hours on the plane and the transfer to Santo Tomas only being about 30 mins from the airport this wasn't too much travelling with our little boy. Apartments: Very spacious with 2 large bedrooms. One with en-suite (bath and over the bath shower) and the other room with bunkbeds. Plenty of storage in both rooms. The only complaint I have is that the bed was quite uncomfortable (hence the 2 rating for sleep quality) It had a plastic mattress protector on it which was very noisy and not pleasant to sleep on. We paid for a travel cot which was perfect and had a really good mattress. (4 euros per night) There was a large main bathroom with a fantastic walk in shower which was great to use with our son when returning from the beach covered in sand. The living/kitchen area was a good size and the kitchen had everything you'd need if you are self catering - oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, hob, plates, cups etc. To make it perfect it would have been useful to have had a cloth and washing up liquid provided. There was a dining table and comfortable sofa in the living area and a TV with some English channels - BBC2 and ITV. There was a very large outside terrace with table and chairs. The apartment was perfect for our needs and it was very clean. I've given 4 for service as the apartment was only cleaned twice during the week and the bin needed emptying a lot as it was very small. Apartment grounds: It is a very large complex of apartments and the grounds are lovely and very well kept. There are 2 large swimming pools that looked great but we didn't use them. We spent our time around the splash pool which is fantastic for young children. It is enclosed so no little people can escape! The water isn't deep and our little boy enjoyed crawling around the edge playing with the toys that have been left by other people to enjoy. There are small slides and water fountain features. I can imagine that it would be hard to get a sunbed during peak holiday time but as we went in school term time we didn't have a problem. We can't comment on the all inclusive as we were self catering. Resort/area: As the resort is quite small the restaurants, beach and supermarkets are very close to the apartments. The beach is only a 5 min walk across the road and we had a small shop opposite our apartment. We went during school term time (last week in September) so the resort was fairly quite. There are a few different restaurants very close by and we had lovely food in all of the ones we went to. Many of them look out over the sea which is beautiful when the sun is setting. The main shopping area is small but had everything you need - supermarket, clothes shop, gift shop, 2 bars, pharmacy and a doctors. We had to use the doctors whilst we were there as our little boy was poorly and they were fantastic. We just turned up and we were seen straight away by the lovely Dr Pedro. Very reassuring to have a good doctor so close by when travelling with children. There are some lovely places by the beach to sit and have a drink. The beach wasn't too big and it was excellent and very clean - the water was warm and crystal clear. Overall, the resort is perfect if you don't want to go somewhere that is too busy, has a lovely beach and amenities close by - perfect for families and couples. We were impressed with how clean and well kept Santo Tomas was. There is a good bus service if you want to venture further afield and the island isn't very big so driving around it wouldn't be hard if you hired a car. We had a great first trip abroad here and would definitely return in the future. This time of year is also good to visit here with children as the weather wasn't too hot but still wonderful.More
The hotel is great and so is the food. It's a five minute walk from the beach the only thing there isn't a lot for you to do here so if you like laying by the pool or on the beach it's fab. The food and drinks in all inclusive are lovely, I would come all inclusive as there's not slit of choice to go anywhere else. More
Great for families
We stayed in October and had a great time. We were all inclusive which worked out really well. Firstly i would say this complex is aimed at families with young children, under 10's. The apartments were clean and spacious and looked as though they had been recently renovated, plenty of room and all the mod cons. The balcony area is large with room for a table and four chairs and plenty of space left over. The complex has three large pools, one is a childrens splash pool with small slides and fountains, i would say this is aimed at the under 5's. The other two pools are almost identical but one is filled with sea water. There is music and entertainment at the main pool and the tui reps were great with the kids, i dont think the music was that loud and seeing the resort is aimed at children i didnt see anyone having a problem with it. The reps were very good and even after a long season put on activities most days around the pool. The hotel staff were always friendly and very helpful, that made a big difference, not like that everywhere. The food was great, not fine dining but plenty of variety. For breakfast there is the usual bacon and eggs but also plenty of fresh fruit, cereal, pasteries etc. For lunch and dinner there was always a good mix of fresh salad, meats, fish and veggie. There was plenty for the kids as well. AS for drinks it was pretty much help yourself, the wine was just about ok, the spirits are cheap copies of more well known brands and they had Estrella on tap, couldn't really complain. Also plenty of soft drinks and fruit juices on tap. The kids loved the entertainment and Colby did a great job. The restaurant is over the road from the complex and there is a bar which is not inclusive and a soft play and bouncy castles which again is not included. To be honest we never used the bar as we had included drinks and there are a couple of nice bars on the seafront to watch the sunset. The beach, which is only a few mins walk from the complex was beautiful, lovely soft sand, safe water with plenty of life guards. We would stay again but we like to go to different places. If this could be repeated in a different resort, island or country we would be more than happy to go again. When the kids are in tears because we had to leave you know its been a good holiday.More

Excellent as always
5th visit to these apartments , booked a one bedroom but again got upgrade to a two bedroom two bathroom apartment . Very clean apartments , bedding very good quality and plenty of it , spare pillows and blankets in the wardrobe , beds very comfortable . Everything you need for self catering , full size cooker , microwave , toaster , kettle , plenty of pots and pans , cutlery , saucepans , frying pan etc ,full size fridge freezer, if you need any extra items just call reception and it will be brought to your apartment by a staff member . Large television in lounge with at least 5 English channels including a Disney channel for kids , smaller television in the bedroom . I can't comment on the poolside bars here as didn't use them , but plenty of sunbeds at anytime of the day and most are brand new , exceptionally clean all around the complex . Lovely big balcony to sit on with larger size table and chairs , clothes airer supplied , also iron and ironing board in apartment , hairdryer in the bathroom . Some people on here have complained about having to empty their own bins , really ! Get a grip ! Very small bin , it takes seconds to take the bag with you on your way to the beach or shops , there are plenty of bin stations provided for this plus recycling bins , I can't imagine the housekeepers constantly running up and down stairs emptying all the bins ! The only 3 issues I have with our stay is firstly people sitting with their children quite late ( after 11ocoick ) at the poolside bar making quite a noise , even after the staff have gone home and switched all the lights out some families stayed there for quite some time being very noisy . Second is the level of volume the so called back round music is at poolside , it's not back round music at all , it's blasting out at high volume from early morning to late afternoon , to the extent that windows need to be shut f you wanted any peace and quiet or an afternoon sleep it's impossible due to the loudness of the music Thirdly , on leaving on our last day , our transfer bus was picking us up very early in the morning , we had two sets of stairs to get our luggage and bags down and it was pitch black ! Not a single light in to guide us , it was actually like stepping into a black void , very dangerous and very difficult for anyone , we are in our middle fifties and we struggled in the dark , management need to address this issue as I fear on concrete steps a bad accident will happen leading to compensation pay outs . Given these issues I will definitely be returning to these apartments in the future . More
