Thank you once again for a fantastic holiday at Cinco Plazas. It was lovely to arrive to see familiar friendly staff at reception. We got to our apartment 2228 Montana to find some lovely upgrades, the bath had been replaced by a lovely shower, unit new furnishings in the bedroom and living area and newly installed air conditioning (not yet working). On a wander around we found the new bar over reception with its large T.V. and spacious seating area. The new outdoor lighting system is excellent and makes the whole complex look brighter and safer. We also noticed the change to the Amarillo pool being changed into a play / splash area for the children, this in theory was a brilliant idea however in practice it seems to have failed most if not all the children prefer to be in a pool and only spent a few minutes in the splash area this has caused the families from Amerillo to come down to the Montana pool causing "SEVERE OVER CROWDING" of the pool and sun bed area. I went for a walk up to Amerillo to find only SIX people on sun beds and TWO very small children in the play area, yet in Montana the pool attendants were having great difficulty trying to fit sunbeds around the pool to comply with safety requirements, also it was quite difficult to swim / relax in the pool due to the number of children and inflatables in the pool. The over crowding was mentioned by quite a number of guests and tempers were starting to rise as guests in Montana had no space because guests from Amerillo were claiming spaces as early as 7.00AM. Once again brilliant idea on paper but may be time for a "RETHINK" and revert to how it was and make everyone happier and safer.More
Good yet bad
Lovely hotel and location. We have been here 4 days with 10 still to go. Arrived on my birthday to a lovely room with the worst views an road noise. Asked to be moved told will be moved in the morning and it never happens. Same again offered a new room finally today with view of a brick wall and road with bins. Our current room overlooks a load of old mattresses and bins which you can can watch people rumbling through everyday! Last night we had a truck park up at 4am and started messing with the bins. 10 days to go I really hope we get a move. On a positive all pools big really clean. Splash park really good too. Lots of shops next to hotel with all you need. 3 min walk to seafront. Lots of lovely rooms with pool views, spacious and clean. This is a Thomson /TUI hotel.More
Did not Disappoint
3rd stay at this Cinco Plazas and was again spot on . Stayed overlooking the Montana pool as requested ( thank you ) in a lovely refurbished apt which was lovely and suited our needs perfectly ( 2 adults , 2 Kids, 11 & 9 ). Hotel is spotless everywhere , pools so refreshing, bar food lovely and all staff very friendly & helpful. Sunbed scenario is only an issue if you want a bed in a certain spot, then you need to get up pre 9am but there are always plenty of beds available if your less fussy.. Location is perfect for exploring the main strip which is 10 mins down a hill where you will find all the shops, bars , restaurants and beaches. Will be back, thanks again.More

cinco plaza apartments
my honest review originally booked to go to Tenerife with monarch. booked this hotel 3 days before travelling on the 5th oct to be fair we only paid £159 including flights and transfers. the rooms were very spacious , we had a 2 bedroom apartment . aicon had been fitted to the apartment but wasn't up and running yet. it wasn't a problem as it was cool at night. the fridge kept water and food lovely and cold ,there was a microwave ,which we didn't use. no problems getting sunbeds or a umbrella ,we sunbathed at the top pool which was nice and quiet. the life guards seemed to work hard moving umbrellas and sunbeds for people. 2 euors for a pint between 11am and 6pm. the hotel is in a great location a 2 minute walk down a small hill then your on the strip. for what I paid I cannot fault this hotel in any way shape or form. our room got cleaned twice in the week and towels changed 3 times. on the whole for what we paid all I can say is amazing to be fair we all could go round a hotel picking fault and moaning .but I choose to go on holiday and enjoy myself...More
A week family stay
Good points - Room was very big - Lay out of hotel is good - Waterpolo entertainer is first class by far the highlight of the hotel. Deserves a pay rise - Breakfast is nice - Best location. Supermarket is next door and it's a five minute walk to the centre of the strip Bad - Double bed is too small a pushed together - Have to pay €20 for a safe for a week and have to rent the tv - Male receptionist with glasses and black hair has an awful attitude and is so rude - Bedding and towels were changed twice in a weekMore
