With both legendary nightlife and a great beach, holidays to Playa d'en Bossa give you Ibiza at its best. And the old-world charms of the island's capital are right on your doorstep.
Set on Ibiza’s south-east coast, Playa d’en Bossa's a real all-rounder. Its clubs have a reputation that extends around the Balearic Islands – with names like Ushuaia and Bora Bora – but it also comes with a great waterpark and the longest beach on the island. And that’s not all – it’s only about 10 minutes’ drive from the sophisticated sights of the capital, too.
Playa d’en Bossa uses its two-kilometre stretch of sand well. There are plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas along here, and of course it’s packed with beachfront bars, where you can drink cocktails in between dancing to chill-out tunes. As for sports, this place really goes to town with kitesurfing, diving and volleyball.
One of the great things about Playa d’en Bossa is that kids can have as much fun here as the grown-ups. Down on the beach, there are merry-go-rounds, bouncy castles and trampolines, plus you’ve got minigolf and a rodeo at the bowling centre. In the evenings, too, there’s a family-friendly vibe – most of the pubs welcome kids.
Ibiza Town's just 10 minutes down the road. Here, you can wander around the cobbled streets, cathedral and castle, or just have a mosey in the tucked-away boutiques. A 10-minute drive in the other direction takes you to Ses Salines Natural Park, where you can expect salt flats, flamingo-filled marshes and huge mounds of the white stuff.
Playa d'en Bossa's gently-curving, palm-fringed beach is the longest in Ibiza. Its fine sands are very popular with families for their cleanliness and the excellent watersports available during high season.
