View All DealsIbiza isn't just about great nightlife. Holidays to Cala Llonga offer up a pine-fringed sandy bay, where you can enjoy a laidback beach break away from the clubbing crowds.
Cala Llonga may be only a 20-minute drive from Ibiza Town, but this chilled-out place feels a world away from the Balearic Island's famous club scene. It’s a small, compact town surrounded by pine-covered hills that seem to melt into the sandy cove below. And it’s also blessed with a fine selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Of course, if you do fancy a night out in Pacha or Privilege, the capital is right at hand.
Cala Llonga’s beach is the town's main attraction. It’s set in a sheltered, horseshoe-shaped bay with soft, cream-coloured sands that slope gently into the sea. The water stays shallow a long way out, which suits swimmers and watersports fans alike. There are plenty of sunloungers and the beachside hotel restaurants keep up a steady supply of drinks and snacks. Plus, pine trees provide some very welcome shade.
The narrow streets and chic restaurants of the island’s capital are an easy bus ride from Cala Llonga. The historic Dalt Villa – High Town – is the best place to start. A climb up the steep cobbled hill takes you to the imposing city walls, the Medieval cathedral and the Moorish castle – not to mention the spectacular views across the harbour. And back down at the marina, waterfront cafés and stylish boutiques await you.
