We had a very relaxing time here very clean and stylish good variety of food just a wee walk across the road to the beach the only thing that let it down was the evening entertainment that needs improvement other than that we would highly recommend this resort

This was our first time at this hotel although we have chosen Fuerteventura for our winter sun holiday twice a year for the last 7 years as the prices are more reasonable than the other Canary Islands & the weather has always been great. Originally we’d booked with Thomas Cook but managed to get the same holiday with TUI for the same great price. We travel a lot to different countries but this review is based on our comparison of other mid-range priced Canarian AI hotels including 2 others in the SBH chain - the Monica Beach & Taro Beach. I would have given a score of 4.75 as there are so many positives about this hotel - no negatives but just a few little niggles.
The positives: It’s an international hotel - which we prefer, so if you prefer a British hotel this is probably not for you. I would say mainly German / Polish guests while we stayed. It’s in a great location overlooking the beach & with lovely views of the lighthouse. It is cleverly built so that most of the rooms are side on rather than facing the sea & it seems that all have a sea view (although some views are better than others). We had a standard room which had a side sea view & unless you are someone who spends lots of time on the balcony I wouldn’t say it’s worth paying extra for a sea view room. The bars & restaurants are all centrally located from the reception area which works well.
The hotel has recently been refurbished & it looks great - with modern bathrooms & modern decor and furnishings in rooms & public areas which are all very clean & tidy. Our maid service was probably the best we have ever had in a hotel - our room was always spotless with towel art and chocolates every few days.
There are 3 main pool areas with lots of sunbeds & umbrellas, well spaced & no need at all to get up early to grab one! Massive bonus! There are also lots of seating areas outside the restaurants, main bar and pool bar - great to sit & watch the sunset.
We found the food in the main buffet restaurant to be very good. Enough choice without being overwhelmed - really fresh salads and fresh fruit & vegetables. Both the speciality restaurants - Tapas & Asian - were fabulous but were booked up a week in advance so you’d struggle to get in if you were only there for 7 nights.
Staff were courteous and friendly and the service in the bar was unbelievable with staff remembering your drinks & getting them without you having to ask!! My husband celebrated his 60th birthday while we were there & the hotel helped make it very special - they printed a poem which a family member had emailed to them & delivered it to our room with a bottle of fizz & chocolates (& not the same as the AI cava!!) compliments of the hotel. They also reserved us a table in the buffet restaurant with fizz on ice! All unprompted & unexpected - fabulous customer service!
The animation team are great organising lots of activities during the day such as darts, archery, water aerobics. Great music playlist by the main infinity pool too.
There is a little shopping centre to the left of the hotel which has a cheap Spar if you run out of anything & a great shop selling reduced price Havainas too! Also a few bars, restaurants although they always seemed empty. There are more bars, restaurants & designer shops to the right of the hotel on the walk down to Morro Jable.
The niggles are minor & didn’t in any way impact negatively on our holiday - just down to personal preference / view. The water in the shower does sometimes run hot / cold as others have mentioned but if you only pulled the control 1/2 way out this seemed to resolve it. The drink quality is mixed - Cava served with ice & beer were ok but spirits are local & definitely lower strength. Still ok though. The evening entertainment is hit & miss! Bingo, Karaoke definitely not our thing! The Motown & Rock groups were brilliant but are only on every 15 days! and the Soul DJ was good but only if you like that sort of music! The bar where the entertainment is has a nice vibe but it’s just too light & bright so dampens the atmosphere. The music that was played after the entertainment ends at around 10pm is mainly Spanish & didn’t seem to appeal to any guests at all! However I mentioned this to the animation team and after that it was changed to a more varied playlist!
In summary this seems to be a really well run hotel & we had a great holiday which was fantastic value for money. However if you prefer a hotel with mainly British guests it’s probably not for you. We’d definitely stay again and are already looking for a bargain in March!
Lots is good but holiday ruined by little things.

Let's start with the good...
Rooms nice, clean, good size beds remade everyday. Pools nice 1 is heated to at least tepid temp the others are far to cold to use this time of year..
the hotel was quiet while we were there, so is easy to get a table for dinner in fact half the tables are closed off..
the spa is empty most of the time, so a plus but Normally you would need to book time in this.
Lobby area is quite nice with comfy chairs..
We found the food very fresh and very nice the choice is slightly lacking but fine for a week..
There are lifts and ramps everywhere so access is good for someone that has problems with stairs..
Now the bad....
There is no water in the room when you arrive..
You need to buy a bottle from the shop and then refill in the restaurant..
Drinks, the beer says is Amstel so if fine. but doesn't taste quite like Amstel in UK.
The wines are pretty much undrinkable well except the cava that is ok..
The rest of the spirits are so so poor, looking at the bottles the vodka, rum, wisky, etc are only 24% by volume so around half of what the UK is..
So this isn't all inclusive... If you want a coffee made at the bar it is €1.. room safe is €4 euro a night, beach towels are €10 WiFi in the rooms is €7 a night...
No I didn't bother with this because when I checked the free WiFi in the lobby it is unusable for anything other than a basic text email..
We are talking dial up speeds.. remember the hotel is half empty..
The night entertainment is pretty poor there are daytime activities the usual darts, Volley ball, archery the normal all inclusive selection.
Ok now the staff... The bar staff are ok but a smile every now and then wouldn't hurt...
So 1 night I wasn't feeling well and tried to take a cup of coffee and a couple cakes bake to my room from the restaurant and had one of the staff tell me I couldn't take food out of the restaurant... This is a first at an all inclusive hotel... Some hotels even make you a packed lunch if you are going out. So anyway I ignored this guy and took my cake to my room..
I think the worst part of the holiday was very rude member of staff that checked us in...
Consider we were the only people that got of our coach she wasn't busy.. it's quite disorientating when you first turn up and she didn't seem that interested to answer any questions...
This is an average hotel that could be amazing...
The poor standard of drinks is inexcusable and not worth booking if this is important to you...
So to recap, great hotel, clean rooms, plenty of sunbeds but hotel half empty, good food, miserble staff, really poor drinks, unusable internet, laughable entertainment...
Definitely wouldn't come here during busier months I really don't think they could cope...
Fabulous

At the time of writing this I'm staying at the hotel I booked 2 weeks an go home on the 7th December..... for me this is a fantastic hotel, staff amazing, rooms are spotless.
I upgraded to a swim up room, which is worth the extra i love it, however..... I'm shocked there is no water replenished in your room each day, no wifi in the room its extra, an u have to pay for the safety deposit box 🤔 as I paid the upgrade,I think the extras should be included. Also one thing I think would be a good idea is having crisp, nuts or olives on the bar in the evening when the restaurant is closed, as once the resturant closes u can't get any food, plus one member of staff got very annoyed I hadn't finished my meal when they closed the doors.
I would definitely recommend this hotel even tho there is a need for a few minor changes needed this is the only reason I have given it 4 stars.
great hotel to stay at
