The Villa Roma feels like it’s well away from the action – and yet with a car, you can get to the lively beach towns of Benalmadena and Fuengirola in 15 minutes.

Sunloungers and a dining table surround the small, private swimming pool. A border of fiery flowering plants, leafy trees and china-white walls give the whole garden a secluded feel.

The Villa Roma keeps things simple, décor-wise, setting wooden furniture against whitewashed walls and tiled floors. The kitchen is well-stocked, too – great for preparing barbecue fare.

Lovely week away in Costa Del Sol

Villa was clean and spacious with lovely pool area at the rear and terrace at the front with a table and chairs, we sat there in the evening. Kettle was fine but ants do need attention as there are some in kitchen, main shower room and lounge, we dealt with them as we are used to them in Spanish properties. Aircon is in main bedroom and lounge. Second room has twin beds, no aircon. Car is a must as area is really hilly. At the top there are a couple of bars and an Indian restaurant along with another cafe bar. There is also a Carrefour supermarket and a pharmacy, just along a bit there is also a garage for bread and sundries. We visited some costal spots along with Granada and Malaga.

Second visit to Villa Roma - needs improvement.

We visited this villa again after visiting last year. There's been couple of changes - different sofas and window dressings in the lounge, much better - BUT - TUI or whoever owns this villa, please read the following : New sun loungers are needed as one of them is actually broken and they are both heavily stained with sweat marks. A new kettle is needed as the current one is disgusting, full of limescale and it looks quite old.. i nearly bought a travel kettle but ended up sticking to cold drinks. The fridge was not clean at all, it had remnants of previous guests food and i had to clean it out. It does look a bit old so a newer one would be a good idea. There is an ant problem, especially in the kitchen. They were crawling on the worktops,not nice when you are preparing food - i was trying to get rid of them left, right and centre. They are also in the bathroom. Apart from that and the stinky drain outside near pool area which i know possibly cannot be helped, we had a nice holiday. Unfortunately we will be going elsewhere.

Lovely little gem

We were a party of 3- 2 adult and 1 child (13) and stayed at Villa Roma for 1 week in August. The Villa is located in a quiet urbanisation amongst local residents. There is a Carrefour supermarket within walking distance, although we got car hire included as part of our TUI package holiday and I would recommend one. There are buses I’m told, but we found it easier with a car especially going food shopping. The Villa is basic, however it has everything you need. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of crockery and utensils etc. There wasn’t anything we needed that the Villa didn’t have. The cupboards also have some staple food items in, such as tea, coffee, herbs, oil etc. Perhaps left by guests but a good convenience. The main bedroom has an en suite, which we found ideal as our 13 year old niece had her own bathroom (family bathroom). The children’s bedroom does not have air con and got quite warm. You’d have to leave the door open for the air con from the living area to circulate. Main bedroom has air con. Both rooms have fans. Outside area is nice. BBQ good. Pool lovely! Really great temperature and just the right size to spend hours bobbing around on a pop noodle. All 3 of us fit comfortably. TV has a load of films from all years on and also English channels. Some activities we did nearby were the butterfly park, the cable cars and bird show, Aqualand, trip to Mijas where we did the express chocolate workshop, a boat trip to see the dolphins and a trip to Malaga. The Marina is approx 15 mins away where lots of restaurants are- recommend ‘Cantina’ a fab Mexican. The Villa could have been cleaner in places- the microwave and window sills for example but honestly I just wiped them over and didn’t make a big deal of it. My Husband also took great pleasure in cleaning the tiles of the pool above the water line, which were rather green. All in all, this was a great memorable holiday and we would definitely return.

We have just returned from a peaceful and relaxing time at Villa Roma, near Benalmadena Pueblo. It is actually in an urbanisation outside the main tourist area which makes it extra special. The pool is totally private, not overlooked and it has air conditioning and all rooms were ideal for us. Food shops are not far away, Aldi was great! Pueblo is not far away waits it’s fab restaurants and small local shops, with lovely narrow streets and beautiful views from the church. All amenities are to hand and I would highly recommend the property. We have booked to go next year, so it’s a winner!

Great location, near lots of places of interest like Mijas, Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Marbella and Malaga. Carrefour Supermarket and Aldi are just a couple of minutes by car. Quiet neighbourhood. Beautiful views of the mountains and beach.
