Puig de Ros holidays offer the perfect mix of laidback and lively, thanks to its countryside spot that's within reach of Palma's city centre.
Location-wise, the town of Puig de Ros is tucked away on Majorca’s south-west coast. It’s rooted by a patch of rocky shoreline, where shallow natural pools and quiet coves make for some of the island’s best snorkelling. On dry land, the town’s bordered by pine forests, which are filled with easy-going walking routes that weave up and down the surrounding hillside. Alternatively, you can opt for a game of golf on the town’s 18-hole course.
You’re not far from the action during a holiday to Puig de Ros. You’ll find a big sandy beach, lots of watersports and a collection of seafront restaurants over in Arenal – a 10-minute drive away. This bustling village is pulled up to a three-mile-long bay. The water here’s nice and calm, making it an ideal spot for windsurfing and jet-skiing. You’ll find watersports centres dotted around the marina. If slides and lazy rivers are more your style, the village has its own waterpark, too.
Further afield, you can get to Majorca’s culture-packed capital, Palma, in a 25-minute drive. Shoppers and sightseers are in their element here, thanks to the city’s collection of luxury boutiques and historic sights. You’ll find the former dotted along Passeig des Born – a street that ticks off top brands like Louis Vuitton and Hugo Boss. Elsewhere a giant cathedral, an 800-year-old castle and a honey-coloured royal palace headline the city’s must-see list.
