Holidays to Puerto de Alcudia are made for families, with a Blue Flag beach on its doorstep and a big waterpark nearby.
Majorcan seaside
Puerto de Alcudia comes alive in the summer, with holidaymakers flocking to the beach to make the most of the Majorcan sun. You’ll see holiday homes and small hotels all along the shore and around the port. But the main attraction here’s the beach – it’s got plenty of space for watersports, and the promenade’s lined with bars and restaurants for breaks between sunbathing stints. If you’re after a bit of culture, Alcudia’s historic old town’s less than a 10-minute drive away.
Blue Flag beach days
Head to the beach and you’ll see why this place is so popular. Playa de Alcudia is a Blue Flag number with calm and clear waters where you can wade out pretty far without being out of your depth. It’s also got the ideal conditions for watersports, and you’ll find plenty of kiosks with them on offer – you can try your hand and at everything from paragliding and windsurfing to snorkelling and jet-skiing. You’ll also find lots of boat trips on offer if you fancy a day out.
Waterslides and minigolf
With Puerto de Alcudia being a top holiday spot, there are heaps of activities for families. One worth a mention is Hidropark waterpark, and it’s only a five-minute drive away. Inside, you’ll find tonnes of slides, a big wave pool, a shallow play area for little ones and minigolf with 54 holes across multiple courses.
