Cala Vinas holidays

Cala Vinas holidays plant you in a chilled-out coastal spot, a stone's throw from big-name locations like Magaluf and Palma.

Top-tier shorelines

If kicking back on a quiet beach is at the top of your to-do list, a holiday to Cala Vinas has you covered. Most of the restaurant-filled centre wraps around the town’s pride and joy – a peaceful, sandy bay. The sand here’s dotted with thatched umbrellas and palm trees, while the water’s pond-still and shallow – perfect for family paddling sessions. On the watersports front, you can trundle around the bay in a slide-topped pedalo, or head out on the open water on a speedboat.

Waterparks and nightclubs

Cala Vinas is right next to Magaluf, a coastal town that’s well-known for its action-packed nightlife. During the day, its bar-laden beaches are the centre of attention. But once the sun starts to go down – and the neon lights switch on – the clubs, pubs and discos steal the limelight. Away from the waterfront, however, there’s plenty for little ones to get stuck in to. Magaluf boasts a waterpark, a theme park and a bunch of kid-friendly dinner-and-show spots.

Head to Palma

Luxurious shops, ancient landmarks and a hearty food scene – you’ll find all three in Majorca’s capital city, Palma. It’s a 30-minute drive from Cala Vinas, making it ideal for sightseeing daytrips. The old quarter’s the main draw, thanks to its towering cathedral, 800-year-old royal palace and cobbled alleyways that are lined with family-run tapas bars. Elsewhere, near the street of Passeig des Born, there’s a collection of big-name-branded boutiques – like Zara and Louis Vuitton – for you to browse.
