View All DealsHolidays to Magaluf need no introduction. Here, sun-soaked days go hand in hand with neon nights, so you can burn the candle at both ends. A million holidaymakers a year can't be wrong.
Majorca’s best-known resort, on the southwest coast of the island, has been drawing holidaymakers for 40 years. The recipe is simple – a palm-dotted beach and just about every kind of attraction going, from the Western Water Park to the House of Katmandu. And for people who like to party, Magaluf is always happy to oblige.
The resort’s gravitational pull is the kilometre-long beach of lilywhite sand, so clean it’s earned itself a Blue Flag. It’s dotted with sunbeds, offers all varieties of watersports, and is bordered by a broad promenade lined with bars and restaurants. And for a slightly quieter beach life, the resort of Palma Nova is an easy walk along the coast.
Magaluf doesn’t need an invitation to have a good time – it's one Spain's best party playgrounds. The main strip's a neon-lit thoroughfare of bars and clubs, and at the far end is the superclub, BCM, which is a match for Ibiza’s best dancefloors. Families are also spoiled when it comes to evening entertainment, with dinner shows and live music ten-a-penny.
Around 30 minutes’ drive from Magaluf is Palma, Majorca’s chic capital. The old town is a cat’s cradle of alleyways, and the star attraction, the Gothic cathedral – Sa Seu – towers over a glitzy marina, which really comes to life after sundown.
