Ariany holidays
Jump to sections
Ariany holidays give you a real taste of Majorca’s away-from-the-crowds culture.
A peaceful getaway
The sleepy town of Ariany is nestled between two other rural towns, Petra and Maria de la Salut. It’s not your typical Majorcan holiday resort. In fact, it’s unexplored by many tourists. In the town, there’s a windmill count of seven and a small scattering of authentic family-run restaurants as well as a small church in the centre. So you’re sure to see a slice of Majorca’s authentic colours.
Nearby beaches
When you want to swap cobbled streets and stone houses for golden sand and wavy waters, then you can drive to the coast in 35 minutes. Cala Millor, also known as ‘the better bay’, has a long stretch of sand, clear waters and a promenade lined with restaurants. And, Cala Bona is a smaller cove, with very few waves, if you’re after calmer swimming climes.
Hiking days
Thanks to Ariany’s countryside location and Serra de Tramuntana Mountain range backdrop, there are some great hiking routes under your nose. Plus, they’re not too challenging either. There are lots of circular routes to choose from, but some favourites take you into the neighbouring rural town of Petra, where you can really get off the beaten track.
Daytrip to Palma
If you want to leave the peaceful vibes behind and head somewhere a bit livelier, Majorca’s capital, Palma, is only a 45-minute drive away. It’ll be hard to fit it all in with so much to see, from the gothic cathedral to the royals’ palace and the trendy art museums, but everything’s generally within walking distance. Plus, be sure to go up to the castle’s courtyard for some of the best panoramic views of the city.
