Bohinj holidays
Jump to sections
On holidays to Bohinj, you can explore a string of picturesque hamlets on the shores of a beautiful lake, in Slovenia's only national park.
A friend of nature
From the imposing peaks of the Julian Alps to the largest natural lake in Slovenia, Bohinj prides itself on showing you the very best nature has to offer.
Picturesque setting
Lake Bohinj is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in Slovenia and is certainly the most peaceful. Bohinj itself is a scattering of small hamlets dotted around the shore, perfectly placed for exploring the Triglav National Park - from the high mountains, to the green forests, and down to the deep blue lake.
See the sights
Wherever you choose to stay, it's well worth exploring the other villages too. In Ribčev Laz, right on the lake, you’ll find the 15th century St John’s church and the lake’s iconic bridge - a great place from which to admire Bohinj and snap some photos. The gorge entrance to the Savica Waterfall can be reached via footpath and over 500 steps from sleepy Ukanc, where you can also take the Vogel cable car up for views across the lake and the Julian Alps - including Triglav, Slovenia's tallest mountain at 2,864m.
Good to know
There won’t be a rep based in your resort, but a rep will meet you at the airport when you arrive and get you on your way. If you’ve got any questions during your holiday, you can call our 24/7 TUI Service Centre at any time.
