Best time to go to Lake Balaton

Lake Balaton normally gets clear skies and sunny weather during the summer. And temperatures top out at around 35°C during the hottest months of July and August. If you prefer slightly cooler temps, time your trip for May or September when you’re more likely to get highs of 25°C instead. Alongside your shorts, t-shirts and sun hats, you’ll also want to pack a light jacket for the evening, as well as any breezy boat trips across the lake.
