Santorini might have a reputation as a couples-centric Greek Island, but there’s plenty to do for families, too.

Beach resort Perivolos is a great choice for families. It mixes together whitewashed villas, a dark-sand volcanic beach and a clutch of Greek tavernas. Capital city Thira, meanwhile, has an impressive to-do list. Plus, there are no cars in town, so you can let the children loose on the postcard-pretty streets. Or you could treat the family to a few nights in classy Kamari, where mountain views are the order of the day.

The hotels and villas in Santorini are a restful lot, so even family-friendly places come with a side of relaxation. Take the beachside Santo Miramare Resort in Perivolos.
