We’ve got a choice of two superb hotels in Marmari. Couples will like the peace and quiet that emanates from the adults-only Sensimar Palazzo del Mare. Things to do in and around Marmari

Thanks to a long stretch of flat sand, Marmari Beach is a top spot for windsurfing. And if you’re new to the sport, but still fancy a go, there’s a windsurfing school on the beach. The beach is also nice and shallow, so perfect for little ones or less confident swimmers. Away from the beach there are plenty of villages to visit that are steeped in history. Try the part-ruined village of Pyli, about 3 kilometres inland. There’s a Byzantine castle and a semi-circular tomb of local hero Charmylos.
