    I can not believe tui are still sending people to this disgusting hotel it is true it’s grubby needs demolishing we did complain and got money back we have photos tui should not send people their the pool was filthy broken tiles room smelt shower was stuck up with tape don’t go
    Nice but too many issues

    There were many things that we liked about the place and Gouvia in general. The location in relation to Corfu town was ideal, especially as we are planning our weeding next year. The rooms and facilities are basic but were often cleaned and didnt even mind transforming into batman each time I showered. The staff seem friendly, espcially the bar staff. there are some nice restaurants and bars in the area and the beach is only a few mins away issues: 1. it is hard to look beyond how basic it is, the rooms and pool area need updating. 2. The SMELL. It stunk each morning and around the beach area (like sulphur) for long periods of time. 3. My partner fell on the stairs because they had been left slippery after cleaning (she still has marks visible now-from August). The issue was that no one came to attend her, she had to struggle back up the stairs to the room, where I got ice and provided 1st aid. She was made to feel as if it was her fault eg-being more careful on the stairs, footwear, wet feet etc.... 4. Perhaps the most concerning was that I saw staff smoking inside the kitchen during breakfast. I know the breakfast is basic but no one should be smoking when preparing and putting out food. So decent but too many issues to warrent recommendation or visiting again.
    Comfortable clean hotel

    This is our 2nd visit to this hotel. For a 2 star hotel we are very satisfied. Room typically Greek, basic but comfortable. Hairdryer fridge and TV in room. Greek drains don't cope with water like UK so no surprise when foam comes up the bathroom drain on floor! Not a problem . We have travelled extensively in Greece and this is very common! Breakfast was adequate and plentiful. Nice bar area and pool table which was popular with my son and friend. Beach 5 mins away. Shops and restaurants very close by. Owners were Very kind to allow a late check out for all 3 of our rooms. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely return!
    Doesn’t live up to the Tui brochure

    The Hotel is badly in need of a refurb .The shower area in the room is an accident waiting to happen. Be prepared to clear away your own breakfast crockery. Tiles around the pool area are cracked some are missing.the only good thing about the place is that the staff are friendly.If you book through Tui don expect to see a rep.Photographs available to verify complaint
    Fine but room was terrible

    When my boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel in t middle of the night, the man who checked us in was extremely friendly, however we were very disappointed by the state of our room. We had requested a double room but when we got there it was just two single beds pushed together. Also there was a light in the room which couldn’t turn off as the switch was broken and t he main light looked like it was about to fall off the ceiling. Other than these things, the bedroom was fine and had a fridge which was useful. The bathroom however smelt funny (not because of us!) and the shower tap was about to fall off and the shower head had water coming out of the sides of it and so water would go everywhere. The shower space was also too small to have a shower curtain as it was be stuck to me as I showered. Also the drain in the shower was clogged and there was a drain in the room where water would bubble out when we used the shower or sink, causing the room to flood. The balcony also was tiny and didn’t have a view at all and we constantly had to smell the smoke from people on other balconies who were smoking cigarettes constantly on their balconies. We didn’t really use the pool area very much as the beach was just a minute away and the pool area was quite small and smelt vaguely of eggs. Again we didn’t like the other people smoking around the pool so we didn’t use it too much, but the actual pool was nice and refreshing. The breakfast was alright really and the other areas of the hotel was clean. Despite our room being not great, at one point we passed a different room which was being cleaned at the time and the door was open and we saw that this room was much nicer than ours and looked like how the rooms look on the hotel website, so maybe we just got unlucky with the room. And the hotel was in a very good area with lots of bars and nice restaurants as well as the beach just a minute away.
