Hotel Louis Corcyra Beach

A group of 15 of us have just returned from a week here & we had a wonderful time.... 9 adults & 6 children (including a baby) The hotel complex is huge with 2 main pools and 2 children's pools, there are plenty of sun loungers, so we found somewhere for us all to sit everyday. The scenery from the pool next to the beach is stunning. The beach itself is lovely, not huge but the sea is amazing & there are water sports right on the beach. Again there are lots of places to sit on beach. The reception area is huge with lots of seating. Check in was easy & super quick, the concierge brought our bags to our rooms within 5 mins of check in. We paid for a bungalow which was well worth it. We had a double bed in 1 room, a singe bed with sliding doors that separated the 2. We had 2 bathrooms and a seating area. The balcony was huge with outdoor seating & towel rails for drying clothes outside. The bars around the hotel are great & all the staff are really hard working & friendly. There is a pump so you can pour your own beer, soft drinks and water so there is minimal queuing. The cocktails are great - especially in the lagoon bar in the evening. The snack bar down at the entertainment pool serves amazing pizza & would defo recommend it. The entertainment team are super hard working & the kids were kept entertained throughout the week. Mini disco was a favourite for us :) We didn't use the kids club so can't comment on that & there is a playground, which should be better lit in the evening. My main criticism for this hotel is the restaurant, whilst the food is okay (basically what you would expect from a family all inclusive hotel), the restaurant is incredibly hot, it was extremely uncomfortable to eat a meal in there for most of the week. The hotel need to do something about the air conditioning as it is really poor! The asian restaurant was really good & i would recommend eating here - the food was delicious. The staff here were really friendly & took the time to explain everything to us. Another call out would be it is quite hilly & there are a lot of steps to get to the beach, so not ideal for people with mobility issues. Overall I would return to the hotel.

We had a fantastic 2 week stay at Louis Corcyra Beach during August 2019. The hotel itself is lovely, the family room we had was ideal for 2 adults and 2 children and was kept spotlessly clean. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and overlook the gorgeous Gouvia bay. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive, George at the poolside bar is a fantastic chap and a great asset to the hotel itself, very friendly and puts you immediately at ease and makes you feel very welcome. The animation team are also excellent, they work really hard throughout the day and night. You can be playing water polo, doing aqua zumba, French Boules, darts football and then watching them perform shows on the evening! Jacob, Kayla, Sophie, Hugo and team are fantastic at keeping things interesting without being in your face or over the top. We all really enjoyed the hotel food, it had genuine FLAVOUR, something often lacking at all inclusive hotel. Souvlaki, greek salads, gyros are all served alongside a rotating selection of other cuisines. There was also always something nice to eat, and it never felt like a mad rush or crush. Food during the day at the poolbar was also great and was where we ate during the day. The hotel has a lagoon pool, a deep rectangular pool (where the animation team did most of their activities) and a small children's pool for the little ones All were well kept and we never had an issue getting a poolside chair. The beach attached to the hotel is quite nice, with excellent views, it also has a small jetty from which you can do watersports or go for boat rides into Corfu and around the island. I would definitely recommend taking a boat trip around this gorgeous island we had a really enjoyable time. As regards overall location the hotel sits just on the outskirts of the small town of Gouvia, it has a collection of bars, restaurants and a beach and is a 5 minute walk from the hotel grounds into the town, which is ideal for a stroll after dinner. If you wish to go and see the town of Corfu, you can catch the number 7 bus from just round the corner form the hotel entrance (takes about 35 mins in traffic to get to corfu town\ or get a boat ride.on the evening. Corfu town, is rich with history and architecture, and you ca spend hours exploring the alleys/shops/bars that lie within its old quarter. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and would happily recommend it to families with children, or couples.
