WAIT FOR THE DROP AT HIDEOUT FESTIVAL

Leading the way for electro music, Hideout Festival attracts ravers from all over the continent. This five-day festival – positioned on Pag Island, Novalja – boasts hard-to-beat backdrops of glistening waters and sky-scraping mountains. Plus, 2020 marks the festival’s 10-year anniversary, so you can expect an extra-special event. The event planners were clever when they designed this festival – they’ve used the surroundings to create alternative spots to enjoy the music. Forget standard stages – you’ll get to watch performances everywhere from on a boat to on the beach. And there’s not just music on offer here – take a break from partying hard and unleash your inner thrill seeker with some watersports. Get a bird’s-eye view of Zrce Beach with a bungee jump, or explore on dry land with a quad bike experience. This diverse country is an all-rounder, so it’s worth spending the rest of your week exploring once the festival’s over. Head north to the Istrian Riviera and sip local wine as the sun goes down. You can also hop around Istria’s islands, or lounge lazily on the coast while soaking up the sea views.

DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY AT ULTRA EUROPE FESTIVAL

If you prefer more mainstream dance music, then this three-day music mashup will be right up your street. Ultra Europe Festival has hosted artists like David Guetta, Marshmello and The Chainsmokers, so we’re pretty sure this festival will fit the bill. Set in Split, a town on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast that’s known for its Roman influences and fortress-like appearance, this festival offers up the perfect mixture of old-meets-new. After a few days of ‘eat, sleep, rave, repeat’ you’ll be ready to relax and recover. Head to Dubrovnik for a pick ‘n’ mix of time-stamped ancient ruins.

FALL HEAD OVER HEELS WITH LOVE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

Kick back with your friends and a backdrop of tie-dye sunsets, or dance the night away on the shores of turquoise waters at Love International. The festival brings world-renowned and undiscovered artists together at The Garden Tisno. Beyond the chart-topping set list, the atmosphere is electric, and the surrounding national parks are pretty easy on the eye, too. After the parties have wound down, whisk yourself away for some R&R in a more laidback setting – the Dalmatian Coast fits the bill. It’s home to idyllic hilltop towns dotted with family-run taverns and ocean views as far as the eye can see. And if you want to keep the party going, head to the island of Hvar.
