Coral reefs, biscuit-coloured beaches and a reggae-filled city centre are just a few of the main ingredients of our All Inclusive holidays to Montego Bay.
Beaches to boast about
Montego Bay doesn’t pull its punches when it comes to beaches. There’s a swathe for every occasion, including Doctor’s Cave Beach – a 300-metre-long belt of sandy that’s known for its watersports – and Walter Fletcher Beach, which is backed by a go-kart track, some tennis courts and a kid-friendly water park. There’s also Cornwall Beach, where you’ll find a string of shorefront eateries that specialise in fried seafood.
Discover Montego Bay’s coral reefs
Sand aside, the waters around Montego Bay are teeming with coral reefs, which you can explore during scuba diving adventures – some of our hotels can arrange these for you. The underwater headliner here’s the Montego Bay Marine Park, a nine-square-mile nature reserve that’s home to colourful reefs and thick mangrove forest. If you’d prefer to see this part of Montego Bay above the water, there are plenty of laidback catamaran cruises to choose from.
Jerk street food and The Strip
Montego Bay’s the second-biggest city in Jamaica, behind the capital – Kingston. It’s the liveliest spot on the island’s north coast, and you’ll find a lot of the action centred around Gloucester Avenue, also known as The Strip. This three-kilometre-long lane’s loaded with shops, chain restaurants and themed bars. Elsewhere, Sam Sharpe Square – in the middle of the old town – is the place to go if you want to stock up on handicraft souvenirs and jerk Jamaican street food.
