Family breaks to Barbados have lots to offer children of all ages, with hotels providing everything from baby equipment to kids’ clubs.
St Lawrence
St Lawrence is one of the most family-friendly towns in Barbados. The Gap runs parallel with the beach, dishing up a feast of around-the-world restaurants, souvenir shops and al fresco bars. Sugary Dover Beach is the best spot here, thanks to its stock of sunloungers and watersports. If you’re looking for a hotel close by, try the Ocean Two Resort and Residences. Everything from the restaurant to the pool has sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea.
Visit Bridgetown
Caribbean roots and British colonialism collide in the capital city of Bridgetown. The monuments and museums here are a great history lesson for the whole family. Plus, the waterfront doubles as a launch pad for pirate-themed galleon cruises. Jeep adventures also keep the children entertained. As well as a mini off-road session, a friendly local will show you the dramatic east coast, centuries-old plantations and miles of sugar cane fields.
If you want to treat your children to a Caribbean getaway, consider a family holiday to Barbados.
