Trou aux Biches holidays
Jump to sections
Holidays to Trou aux Biches put you on a white-sand beach that looks like it's been lifted from a postcard. You're just down the road from Grand Baie's bars and boutiques, too.
Beachside village
The peaceful village of Trou aux Biches unravels alongside a photogenic white-sand beach on Mauritius' north coast. It's pretty quiet, with just a handful of hotels, guesthouses and restaurants, but it's position next to the coastal road means you're in easy reach of neighbouring resorts.
White sands and watersports
The beach here is a sweep of powdery white sand, lapped by calm, shallow waters. There are plenty of watersports to sign up for, but the premier activity is snorkelling over the corals that sit a little way off shore.
The local area
A couple of minutes' drive along the coastal road lands you on Mont Choisy Beach, one of the best on the island. Another 10 minutes and you'll be in the heart of Grand Baie, which lines up a roll call of restaurants, shops and bars. Head in the other direction, meanwhile, and you can be in Mauritius' capital, Port Louis, within half an hour.
