This stylish hotel puts you on the edge of a sandy beach and a beautiful coral reef. And it’s got three big pools, too.
This elegant hotel is tucked in a half-moon cove. The house reef makes it a prime dive spot, and there’s a diving centre on the beach. There are three pools, too, plus you get free entry to a nearby waterpark.
There are two choices when it comes to food – the buffet restaurant or the beach bar, which does lunchtime snacks. After-dinner entertainment comes in the form of live shows, with singers, fire-eaters and more.

Very nice place for holiday!
A nice and good, clean hotel near beach and great spot for snorkling! We enjoyed our stay! The rooms are good and clean, the service is very good and the food is different and good. We have had no problems with the Wi-Fi, the only thing is that you have to be near the restaurant.More

Another wonderful week
Second time back here this year, and whilst much busier, it was still just as brilliant as before. The staff just cannot do enough for you, the grounds are immaculate, the hotel is just as much so. To our group, it feels like home from home. Animation team are enthusiastic, and put on some fun stuff, and the evening shows, barring a couple, are great fun. The hotel, unlike most, care for the beatiful coral reef, by roping it off to stop snorkellers damaging it, but it does not stop you enjoying it whilst swimming along. The diving centre is brilliant, and whilst busy, is very well organised, and has the benefit of one of the best house reefs going, just off the end of the jetty near by. Trips were organised with typical Germanic efficiency. The Tui rep will try and steer you in the direction of another dive company, dont take any notice and dive with the one on the beach. They are called Coraya divers. We did a couple of tui trips, an evening shopping trip to Port Ghalib, and a sunset quad bike ride into the desert. Both were great, and well organised. Only a few things the hotel could address. Last time we were there, in January, the wifi was pretty much nonexistant, this time we had it in the room, which is a major step forward, but unfortunately, it is very slow. We felt the standard of food in the Morgana beach restaurant had deteriorated sadly, but you have the choice to eat there or in the restaurant. Finally, and its the same everywhere you go these days, the Germans and the beach towels on the beds saga. Our group never managed to go down the beach, as all the beds were "reserved" by 7am. Banning this, and having a first come first served policy would make a big difference. Other than that, the Lamaya is, as far as our group is concerned, perfection. Twice we have been this year, and we are already booked to return next year. Up till now, I have never been into going to the same place twice, but the Lamaya ticks every single box. Travelled with Tui/Thomson, which I can recommend, but the flight is five hours of utter torture, and make sure you bring your own food onboard, as the options onboard are overpriced and pretty much inedible. There was plenty of moaning and whining about the time taken in Marsa airport for bag and security checks, but not from us. Its totally understandable, and I will put up with it all day long to ensure our security. In summing up, dont hesitate about Egypt and the Lamaya, I feel safer there than anywhere, and you will love the place.More

2nd time this year, the hotel now seems to be full which seems to have dropped food standards, don't get me wrong they're not bad but maybe a bit more thought, room clean and tidy staff pleasant as ever. only problem pool was not heated, but we are reliably informed this has now been sorted. More
Brilliant winter holiday.
Firstly, big 'you legend' to Hany, the Tui rep, a nicer human being is difficult to find, funny, caring and super efficient, ***** . Hotel is fab, grounds tended beautifully by the gardeners, restaurant staff great, room staff work hard and do a great job daily (worthy of an extra tip at the end of the holiday), bar staff again engaging if a bit rushed at times, 99% of staff fantastic, smiling! efficient, funny and engage with the guests. The food is ok rather than good or great, possible to find something tasty at most times, I did suffer a tummy bug, cleared up quickly after tanning Hany's advice of getting the remedy at the Pharmacy in the Hotels complex. Shows in the evening a bit hit and miss, mainly it's a dance troupe, some better than others. The Animations team deserve a big thumbs up, always having fun with the guests, organising the daily sports and entertainment. They did a comedy show, it was like watching your children on stage, you really wanted them to do well for putting so much into this show, which was a triumph, so funny, best evening entertainment of our holiday ***** There are loads of shops in the complex, mainly all selling the same kinds of tat souvenirs made in Egypt and fake goods from China. They are very good at giving the hard sell, I find their techniques fascinating but their persistence can be a little intimidating. The beach was quite crowded, someone needs to pick up all the cigarette buts in the sand. Snorkelling was my beach highlight, ****** We will return! See you next time Jaz Lamaya. More
