While we can’t magically transform the British weather to create sun-kissed scenery or a snow-dusted wonderland, we can whisk you away on an action-packed family holiday. To help you choose a trip that’s fun for grown-ups and child friendly, we’ve put together a list of the five best holidays for kids.

1. ORLANDO, FLORIDA

Take your little ones on a long-haul holiday they’ll never forget in the Sunshine State. Florida and family holidays go together like Mickey and Minnie – it’s the ‘happiest place on earth’, after all. Plus, there’s plenty to do for those of you that grew beyond minimum ride height years ago. Tick off child-friendly rides and Disney Character meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World Resort, before moving on to action-packed theme parks and adventures in the great outdoors at Everglades National Park.

2. CALABRIA, ITALY

Make TUI BLUE Pascha Bay your base and you can take advantage of the fancy family-friendly facilities, which range from evening entertainment to a mini waterpark – perfect for letting little ones burn off some energy on the slides and in the splash pools.
