Unpleasant staff at the front desk including the manager on duty. Their only goal is to get your credit card for incidentals. No service: they did not ask for my preference, no information on the internet, if there is a pool or a gym. Room: old fashioned design, the A/C is so noisy, no pillows on the bed ! No minibar, not even a bottle of water in the room. No wardrobe, few amenities. Staff for room service not helpful on the phone. Altogether a terrible experience.More
Internet- previous century
So in addition to paying $250 a night which I was told is a special Internet rate, you need to pay for internet... The free internet that you get, is intermittent.... It keeps dropping you off. Very annoying!!! Kept disconnecting my VPN due to the internet dropping.... Have not seen such archaic system for years!!!More
Do not stay here if you are not a conference-goer
My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary this weekend. We chose this place because it was a 4 star hotel and close to SeaWorld. We thought it would special to get a 4 star hotel since it was a special occasion. We did not know that it would turn out to be a terrible decision. Almost any hotel nearby would have been better for us. This hotel is probably a perfect and wonderful experience for someone on business who is attending a conference. But it was a terrible choice for two newly weds who were looking forward to a upgrade to our romantic weekend. We felt very out of place since we were not conference-goers. Not only do you have to pay for parking at an outrageous $15 a night but you have to park in a very crowded parking garage and walk over a football field distance from the door to the front desk. You have to navigate your way through all the conference people in order to get anywhere. If we forgot anything out in the car it would take a very long time to get there! The room was fine, but geared much more for business gatherings than for a couple. We brought in some of our own groceries and our own pillow and a man on the elevator asked if we were "going camping." This is clearly not the atmosphere for anyone who is not in a wealthy class and able to spend lots of extra money on everything. Even a simple continental breakfast costs more than an entree at most restaurants--$15! If you are like us and want a nice place to enjoy a family vacation I would recommend Embassy Suites or Holiday Inn Express. I have been much better treated at 3 star hotels. More
After reading some bad reviews I was getting really concerned about our holiday in September. We have actually stayed here a few years ago but tend to stop at the Rosen plaza. We should not have worried - hotel is lovely - rooms are a good size - pool fab and practically empty every day. Fab facilities - Harry’s bar - shop and restaurants on site. A short walk or a trip on the I trolley up to the many restaurants and attractions at pointe Orlando and the eye area. Yes the air con is a bit noisy but really not that bad. Rooms are serviced daily and to a high standard. Would recommend for holidays as well as people attending conventions!!!! More
Very nice and upscale
The Rosen Centre is a very nice hotel. I had a queen room on the 14th floor. It was clean and modern. My only issues with this facility are that it does not offer a complimentary shuttle to the area amusement parks and the pool is pretty chilly. More
