    Back in the Twenties, the Park Central Hotel catered to the stars of the Twenties – and it’s still got the glamorous feel of a celebrity haunt.

    The Park Central Hotel fits neatly between Central Park and the Theatre District. Fifth Avenue is also a ten-minute walk away via the Museum of Modern Art.

    Bright side: Location is excellent, close to central park, times square, 5th avenue, rock feller center, etc. The room cleaning is excellent. The bed, sheet and towels are very good. The shower is good as well. There are A/C and TV. The room is beautiful. Dark side: There is just two small elevators for all the Hotel guests, and to top it off one of them is always brake. Sometimes I had to wait 30 minutes to get an elevator to my flor or to go down, it wasn’t good at all. The receptionists were not friendly at all. There is no minibar in the room. There is no restaurant in the Hotel (just a bar to get drinks) and a convenience coffee. There is no room service to order food in the room. There is no messenger to help with the luggages. The receptionist Ana recommended us to have dinner in a restaurant named Tuscany. It was just terrible!! Poisoned food (we got stomachache), too expensive and the waiter was very friendly but a truly snake). But in the end of the day, the cost benefit is good and the location is excellent, with a lot of restaurants around, close to central park, 5th avenue and Broadway. So I recommend this Hotel.
    A Great Stay at Park Central

    We (three adults) recently spent 7 days at the Park Central and had a great visit. The location is top shelf and it is a popular hotel. While we saw lineups in the lobby from time to time as we came and went, we never once had to wait to speak with anyone. In short, the hotel met our expectations in all ways; the location was just about perfect for first-time visitors to NYC, the lobby was great, the staff were excellent and responsive, the room was average-sized room with adequate storage, excellent wi-fi, we had 2 very comfortable beds and consistent air conditioning. It helps to sleep well. If it matters to you, the elevators are a bit small, but they worked well and we only had to wait once or twice. Unfortunately the bathroom did not have a fan to help with managing the moisture during shower times, but it twas a good size and we appreciated the shape it was in. I should note we had one small issue with an accident involving personal property while housekeeping was cleaning the room, but customer service staff at the front end took care of that without hesitation. I appreciated how they dealt with that a great deal. We did not pick this hotel because of its proximity to a subway station, but having the 57th street and 7th avenue station so close was an unexpected bonus. It made getting around so much easier to have that station so close. In summary - thanks Park Central, and well done. You really contributed to our trip being an overall excellent experience.

    Just spent a Sunday overnight here for the 1st time and had a great experience. You cant beat the location and the Price. $181.00 overnight parking included. Went to the CHER SHOW ( Loved it) 3 block walk. Central park was also 3 blocks and our restaurant, Marea, was 3 blocks. Staff was very friendly even though they had a BLACKOUT in NYC the night before.

    i am not pleased with elevators not working and if could get any worse NYC blackout of midtown. I had to walk up stairs and stairs and stairs to my room the 15th floor. The room was nice and staff was friendly However I must stay the guy with the sling i think his name is Kareem and the lady at guest relations was very helpful and courteous during black out they made sure every guest calm. I sat in the bar for hours he walked around giving us updates and water. In the end I couldn't wait and I asked manager if I can go to my room and he got a staff to take to my room and gave me glow sticks for stairs. I would visit hotel again mainly because how professional the manager Kareem and staff handle this crazy blackout...BUT FIX YOUR ELEVATORS!!!!

    My family rented a room in this hotel. We waited in a huge line for half an hour to check in. The staff were friendly, but having to wait 40 minutes for check in is not acceptable. The room was dark, dirty and smelt like cigarettes. Moreover, the sidewalk outside is constantly busy with people trying to sell bus tickets, and people rushing around on bikes, hitting off us and generally causing chaos. We were extremely disappointed with the hotel. It felt more like a Motel than a 3-star hotel.
