Great hotel, slightly away from main strip but still within walking distance.
Fantastic place. Pool area is great - ultra modern with a nice casino area. The strip is just a few minutes walk away it's not as far down as the Stratosphere so quite a good location if you are happy to be slightly away from the busier part. Stayed for 4 nights and was really impressed with staff and facilities.More

Poor location and poor service
Decent hotel inside but a very poor location and some aggressive and not so friendly homeless outside.Zero recognition of my platinum status.Arrived at 1:30 pm room was ready at 5:30.Front desk personnel were either incompetent or just didn’t care.Overall don’t stay here if you think your platinum status will have any meaning. Also, there are many better situated hotels at the same price point.More
A great experience away from strip congestion.
I am not a high roller nor do I have elite status with this or any other property, we simply stayed in Vegas to run the Rock & Roll 1/2 Marathon. We did not experience any of the problems other reviewers seemed to have had. This hotel was perfect for us. We experienced prompt and friendly service every time we interacted with the staff. The room rates were very reasonable. We particularly appreciated the fact that this hotel was not located near the busy part of the strip. The Las Vegas Monorail has a station right behind the SLS and runs all the way to the MGM Grand with about six stops in between. You can get from the SLS to the MGM in about 25 minutes with access to all that part of the strip has to offer. The rooms are somewhat dated, but they were clean, well lit and had current large HD televisions. We dined at five of the in-house restaurants. There is no buffet here, everything is made to order: The Perq: Great for coffee and pastries! No more expensive than Starbucks. Katsuya: Great Sushi! During social (happy) hour the price for rolls is reasonable, about $7 each. They serve both hot and cold Saki. Umami: Very tasty hamburgers. They have one with a huge Ahi steak, sprouts and avocado, it was life changing. Try the truffle fries, you won't regret it. 800 Degrees Pizzeria: Adequate pies here, nothing spectacular, reasonable priced, about $9. Northside Cafe: We ate here each day but only had breakfast, which was very good. Huge portions and very tasty. There are two other restaurants that we didn't try, they looked to be the higher end places. A steak house and a Mediterranean place. Overall we spent between $50 - $60 per meal including cocktails for two adults. We felt this was extremely reasonable. The only place we felt the prices were over the top was the poolside bar. Our daiquiris were $18 each. We felt this was unreasonable, even for a resort. We did not gamble so I cannot speak about the casino other than to say, they have one and it's full of machines and tables. Overall the SLS is clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced with attentive and friendly staff. I would recommend the SLS to couples or solo travelers who do not expect upgrades or high-roller treatment. I will stay here again.More

Overall nice hotel
This is our 3rd time visiting this hotel. It is very nice and the staff is very friendly. Cesar the customer service manager has excellent customer service skills. We didn't have hot water in our bathroom in one rooms and in the other the bed was broken. They moved us to a joint room which was so nice and so pretty and they just fixed the problem. The restaurants are delicious and overall it was a nice stay. Eyal has great customer service skills as well too. Will stay again.More
We decided to try somewhere different, just for a change of scenery. So we decided on the Umami burger. After strolling in off the street being ignored by the wait staff we wandered in side to be barked at by another member of the wait staff, to go and wait at the front of the restaurant to be seated. When asked where that was, we received a second barking at and response that it was over there, with agitated hand gesture. After such a warm and friendly welcoming and no chance of service. We decided to leave and go somewhere else. More
