    This place strikes a great balance between luxury facilities and a peaceful, out-of-the-way location.

    Settings don't get more exotic than the Khao Lak Laguna Resort's – it's tucked away in tropical greenery, with a latte-coloured beach right on its doorstep.

    The theme continues around the grounds. Two lagoon-like pools are flanked by thatched canopies, open-sided pagodas play host to bars and lounges, and Oriental lanterns and paintings adorn the lobby.

    A wonderful hotel, set in a stunning location, we found the staff to be so helpful and polite! The room was stunning, everything was nice and clean. The food was amazing, we had a fabulous experience all round and I’d definitely recommend, don’t overthink it, just book it and you won’t regret it!!

    This was our second time staying at Khaolak Laguna and we noticed that improvements are being made. Gone is the buffet and the smoothie menu. Instead all meals except for breakfast are a la carte and a comprehensive drinks list. There is an Asian buffet / barbecue once a week which was very nice with some traditional dances being performed. We had a siam chalet which was very clean and spacious with everything you could wish for - toiletries, beach bag, beach towels, dressing gown, slippers and robe for beach. The staff were wonderful - couldn't do enough for you. We would especially mention Sin? Who is on the egg station and makes the omlettes who has the most welcoming smile! The pools and the pool areas were spotless and there were plenty of sunbeds. There is plenty to do and see in khaolak. There are shops/restaurants etc just outside the hotel. There is also a night market at bang niang which is a tuk tuk ride away (150 baht). Good fun just to sit and watch the world go by! Also we hired a tuk tuk taxi and driver for the day through reception for 2,000 baht. Driver was great - just ask for Jim. He took us to butterfly/orchid farm, temples, waterfall, tsunami memorial park, little amazon and walking street in Takua pa and as it was Sunday it was market day - that was well worth a visit! There are a variety of nationalities here so great place to meet new people! We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back.

    Had an amazing time! Staff was helpful and friendly, our room was nice and big and the beach beautiful! We spent two weeks here and almost didn’t want to leave 🙂 Would definitely want to come back here again some day!
    Very Pleasant stay in a Siam Chalet Villa accommodation close to beach

    Enjoyed a 4 day stay at this resort. Had a Siam Chalet Villa accommodation only 60 feet from the beach and sunbathing area which was very convenient. Comfortable bed, good and quiet AC, lots of space in the villa for the two of us and a clean bathroom. Good buffet breakfast with a great view of the ocean included in the room rate. Short walk to the main road where we ate lunch and dinner at various restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!

    This is a great location and a wonderful hotel with amazing staff who are more than happy to help with absolutely anything and are always extremely happy and attentive. We stayed in the Similian Villa which was just perfect with amazing views of the ocean. Peaceful and quiet. The “Only” challenges that we had here was the language barrier as little English was spoken so it made it hard to communicate at times and we did go full board however did end up eating out in the evenings as the menu, although nice were repetitive and limiting and the wait for food took a very ling time and the meals generally did not come at the same time so one was eating whilst the other was waiting. This is what we generally experienced in all the restaurants to be honest and not unique to the hotel however the choice was greater outside. With that said, it did not have a detrimental impact on the holiday at all and it just taught me a lesson, not to go full board. Breakfast was buffet style so no delays, good choice. All in all I would definitely recommend this resort and will return. Fix the dining / communication issue and this would be near on as perfect as you will get in this location, very traditional building and decor which was great......
