Hotel Villa Mulino

We went this hotel with Shearings by express coach, the trip took a bit longer then it does to Lake Como, this hotel is well run very clean & is suitable, the bathroom shower is a bit small 600x600 not much room to turn around if you are big, the food is OK breakfast is buffet the rolls are the same as the ones we saw in Lidil I think a lot of the food was shop brought & not freshly prepared, The coffee was not very hot or good considering we were in Italy dinner was served by waiters who were all very good, again I think a lot of the food was not freshly prepared or hot ,no fresh fruit on offer any drinks had to be paid for including water . The trips we had with Shearings were very good I would recommend spending more time in Malcesiine as it has more to see the Riva del Garda we went up on the cable car which you had to change half way up, you were squashed in when it was busy but the views on the way up were good & on the top were great you could walk around & spend time up there, you might need a coat. we went to Verona which is very good lots of old buildings we walked miles . Another day we went to Sirmione, again lots of very old buildings, very interesting well worth a visit. on another day we went to the Dolomite's, very good trip up in the coach would recommend this trip for the scenery we did not go up in cable car as it cost 19.50 euros but we did walk half way up the steps & the views were fantastic. The only downside is the coach trip there & back if any one can figure out how to get a good nights sleep on the coach or has any tips that would be great .

Just been on the best holiday I have ever had with shearings to hotel villa mulino lake garda what a holiday from start to finish coach drivers pav and mitch brilliant funny knowledgeable and helpful lake garda itself beautiful plenty to do and trips out to venice and verona great with lake trips a bonus so what makes it that extra special you might ask as loads of places fit those descriptions it's defiantly the hotel and staff there's not enough plaudits you can give to it it's simply amazing and that is mainly down to the excellent service this staff give to you hard working always busy yet always smiling and friendly nothing is to much trouble they go the extra mile to look after you food is excellent and plentiful everything is lovely and clean entertainment is simple but great fun where everyone can join in the owner is fantastic a true gentleman very talented with his magic and playing all types of instruments and a lovely singer the hotel itself is ideally situated just minutes from the lakes shores and all the various bars and restaurants and gorgeous scenery this hotel is 3 star rating but you in my opinion get 5 star treatment

We stayed at this hotel from the 11 September to the 25 September on a 17 day tour with Shearings Holidays. Firstly I want to say that there are no negatives for us to talk about only positives. The hotel is full of charm and elegance. We are not going to name any staff in particular as all staff were extremely friendly, polite and could not do enough for us to make our holiday fantastic. I cannot understand why people moan on here, go to reception and ask or request, if the staff can assist or help, they will do. I certainly realize now what other guests meant when they said you feel like part of a family, we certainly did. Everything was spotless clean, our room was kept well stocked with towels, toiletries etc. and this was every day of our holiday. All areas out side were pristine. In the restaurant, breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of food which was replenished regular throughout service. We had lunch a few times at the pool bar, this again was tasty indeed, can I just say the mussels I had were delicious, as were the pizza, homemade and very fresh, indeed. Evening dinner was served to your table, which we like, buffet style is fine but it was a welcome change to be served, all the food we had was well cooked and we enjoyed enormously, the fish was tasty and I would recommend. We have large appetites but was never hungry and there was always something we liked, the desserts were lovely too. Do not miss the Gala night, it is something special with food and entertainment, that is all I will say. The staff work extremely hard with the evening entertainment we had many laughs and great times. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and want to thank ALL the staff for looking after us, we will return in the future, to the great and lovely Hotel that is called the Hotel Villa Mulino.
