Hotel Eden Garda

Finally made it to Italy after 26 years of marriage, always something else to spend our money on! What a lovely family run hotel. We were made to feel so welcome, nothing too much trouble. Every member of staff from owners to cleaning staff we’re courteous and always said hello. The daily newsletter was informative and it was helpful to know what the menu was in advance. Over the week we found the 5 courses too much in the evenings, so much food so we cut some courses out although this was not a criticism. Complimentary drinks with the meal cannot be taken out of the restaurant but are plentiful. Ana Maria was brilliant in the bar area during the evening and quickly remembered our drink preferences and greeted everyone warmly. We had mixed weather to start and all I would emphasise, as our Rep did, don’t let it stop you going and discovering Lake Garda it is simply stunning. It is helpful to get hold of some street maps of the various areas before you travel. We used buses and water taxis to get about and both were good value. Make sure you check the timetables on the hop on and off routes as you might have to stay a while before the next bus. Rooms were pleasant, very clean and had all you needed. Hairdryer is located in the bathroom which isn’t great if both of you trying to get ready and steam etc but I think a common setup in Europe. Hot tub and view from roof terrace was fantastic. Main pool is not heated and was freezing so couldn’t use it but would be lovely in the height of summer I’m sure. Would love to go again.

We Stayed a week in May as part of a TUI package and had a room overlooking the lake and pool, perfect. The bed was so comfortable and a good sized bathroom. This hotel is immaculately clean, All the staff from cleaners, wait staff , bar staff, maitre’d, reception are fantastic in their attentiveness to guests. The meals were great, no complaints at all, loved the local wine served with the meals. The Bar prices are good, not extortionate as some hotels are which meant the bar was well used after dinner. The cocktail of the day was always tried! The Sunday night entertainment was pitched just right for us and we had a great night singing along. Could have had a couple more nights like that. The walk to the lake is easy and I am so pleased we were away from the lakeside, I would without doubt stay here again. Thank you to all the staff.

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel but will certainly not be our last. This is our 10th visit to Lake Garda and this hotel is by far the cleanest. LOCATION – Is a short 15 minute stroll to the lake, however the hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle service, or you could take the free Garda bus which stops over the road from the hotel. STAFF - They could not be faulted in anyway always approachable and helpful. ROOMS – We were very lucky and had a room on the top floor which has both views of the lake and pool (on an evening you could sit on your balcony and watch the pool change colours). The bathroom had everything we needed and everything was replenished daily. We also had a kettle with tea/coffee. A fridge and very good AC. The hotel would turn down your bed on an evening and leave a small newsletter informing you on the weather, menu and Garda information for the next day. POOLS – There are two pools one on the ground and a spa pool on the rooftop which has view of the lake and mountains, the hotel provide you with a towel. FOOD – only one word to describe the food “magnifico” 5 courses with complementary wine, water, lager or soft drinks.
