Can I take Ashes on the flight?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring ashes with you when travelling on a TUI flight. We understand this may be an emotional journey, and we want to make it as smooth as possible for you.
To help with this:
- You’ll need to present the death certificate at check-in and possibly again at customs.
- Customs may request to inspect the ashes, so we recommend placing them in a non-metallic, sealable container. This helps ensure they can be clearly scanned during security screening and avoids delays or distress.
- During take-off and landing, the ashes must be securely stored either under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartment.
- To support you further, we’ll need to add a note to your booking so our check-in team is aware in advance. Please contact us before you travel by calling 0203 451 2688. Calls from UK landlines are charged at the standard rate; mobile charges may vary depending on your provider.
- If there’s anything else we can do to assist you, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
