Right by the water’s edge on the south side of Mahon harbour, the Hotel Agamenon offers sweeping sea views.
The tranquil atmosphere at the Hotel Agamenon is largely down to its location on the outskirts of the charming town of Es Castell.
Throughout the hotel balustrade-laced terraces and picture windows make the most of the sea views. The same applies to the bedrooms, all of which open out on to a balcony with a panorama.

A good place to relax & unwind.
Very helpful friendly staff. Peaceful setting near beautiful coastal scenery. Good breakfasts & plenty of choice at dinner. A near by bus service makes it possible to see other parts of the island. Hire cars are reasonable & available at the airport which is nearby.More
This hotel was great the staff were brilliant always SO helpful. The cleaners, waiting staff and reception staff. Rooms were cleaned every day, the hotel is spotless. Food was varied and tasty, and reasonable priced. Views from balcony were amazing, lovely too walk a down the harbour at night. All the guests were friendly, home from home! We shall be back!More
Excellent hotel and resort
This is the second time we have visited this hotel and what can I say, they make you feel welcome and special. Richard on reception cannot do enough for you, I watched him deal with the older guest with care and respect , he remembers your name- he is a treasure. The housemaid who looked after our room was lovely kept our room clean and tidy, I lost my stud from my earring she found it and put it where I could find it when I got back again she was pleasant and always asked if we required anything. The restaurant what can I say buffet breakfast (should I say feast) everything you could wish for and more- again the staff fantastic- pool and snack bar - food excellent and a lot of choice and very reasonably priced. We are going again next year can't wait. Es Castell as a destination is beautiful lots of character and the locals are so welcoming, we ate at local bars and they too are reasonably priced. Es Castell as a base is excellent, short walk to Mahon and when you go to the bus station menorca is you oyster, buses cheap and the driver is always there to assist as we found out as we got on the wrong bus and he explained what we needed to do no pointed us in the right direction.More

Great hotel, but choose room on garden/pool side
This is a good hotel in a great position. Staff are friendly and the food is very good. However we were allocated, seemingly at random, Room 105 which is right at the back of the hotel. We did have a small wedge of "side sea view" to our far left, but most of our view was of the car park and buildings opposite and we were almost over the main hotel entrance. The room itself was fine, but it was noisy, with guests checking in and out at all hours and delivery trucks unloading at 6am in the morning. We asked for a change of room, but the hotel was full and we were told none were available. Eventually our rep managed to negotiate a somewhat better room on the next floor up and two doors further along, though still overlooking the car park. Others in our group had rooms on the other side of the hotel, with superb views looking over the pool/garden/harbour, which made our situation all the more depressing. It did rather take the edge off what was otherwise an excellent holiday. Es Castell is a great area to explore, and the museum in the big square is a real find. We had a boat trip over to Blood Island, just opposite the hotel and that was fascinating. The message is: avoid Room 105 (must be the worst room in the hotel) and anything overlooking the car park.More
