Great hotel wonderful hotel
For this visit we booked direct with the hotel for a room on forth floor overlooking the harbour. A wonderful space book in the room and balcony. On the balcony we had table chairs and two sunbeds. The room was spotless with kettle, fridge and hairdryer. Complimentary tea and coffee to get you started. Just wonderful. The food was very good. My only complaint would be that there is lots of fish which I hate but husband likes. All the staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. A great holiday. Can;t wait to return next year.More

Lovely hotel in charming location overlooking the marina at Cala Bona. We were fortunate to have a high floor with a view over the marina and could see along the street with shops etc. I would not have been so happy to have a room without a view at the rear but we could not fault our room for view. The balcony was narrow but adequate. The room (superior) was not as big as we anticipated but big enough with fridge, safety deposit box (25 euros for week with 10 euro refund on return of key) kettle cups and saucers, full length mirror. Nice bathroom with double sized walk in shower with usual type shower and an overhead shower, both powerful with plenty hot water. The restaurant was pleasant and we were designated our own table for our stay. Breakfast was good. Evening meals were in my opinion, nothing special with reasonable choice. Drinks could be purchased separately. The evening entertainment was better than we usually encounter. All of the staff in the hotel from reception to waiters were faultless pleasant and obliging. We visited at the very end of the season so the resort was generally quiet but relaxed but we made trips to the Caves of Drac and a trip on one of the glass bottom boats. We could find all we needed close to hand. The swimming pool with pool bar and tables etc is located on the first floor above reception. We didnt use the pool but did have a look around - this area appeared a little "tired" and would benefit from new loungers. All in all though, a lovely hotel in a lovely location.More

Grotty view get a screen up!!
Just returned from the hotel, asked for a low floor ,sea view ,quiet room. We got a ground floor room 400 which we didn't want as anyone could have jumped over the balcony and if u were having a drink on the balcony people passing would be in ur face!We asked for another room and got room 258 ,sea view great ,side view disgusting, over the top of the Cafe Norai next door the balconies were really untidy with a filthy mattress, rubbish strewn all over,an old Hoover which never got used in 2 weeks, and a howling husky dog.We asked could we move rooms and were told the hotel was full! In October??We eventually got moved one floor down room 159 we could still see the crap on the balconies but we just turned our chairs the opposite way! Food was good I put 10lbs on! Water was expensive at €2 a bottle ,mounted up after 2 weeks.Plenty of sun beds available, some guests abused the pool letting people in with kids that weren't staying at the hotel!Which on a Sunday afternoon was terrible noise screaming shouting kids u know who u are! Music in the bar area was far too loud u couldn't have a conversation with anyone, even the waiters couldn't hear ur order sometimes. The receptionists were quite unhelpful and were reluctant to speak unless u spoke first.pool area was nice the chips were fab! We got champagne n strawberries delivered to our room on my husbands bithday which was unexpected and very nice.Bip supermarket round the corner was good and had friendly staff n good prices ,€1.85 for a litre of red wine! All in all a good holiday, apart from the view of the grot,I think the hotel should put up screens on the sides of the balconies to prevent their customers having to look at the filthy balconies or ask them to clean their act up.Also the Cafe Norai was very noisy at night up til 2/3am,the receptionist said they go quiet at 12am but that was not the case it was every night.More
