Our last minute holidays to Lanzarote serve up Canary Island sands without the need to wait around.
Big beach resorts
From sweeps of sand to golden coves, Lanzarote is a beach-lover's paradise. The most popular spot is Blue Flag Playa Grande in Puerto del Carmen. Pick a hotel here, and you’ll be up close and personal with a six-kilometre-long stretch of sand. If you can fit it in, set your sights on Papagayo, too. This sheltered beach in a bay has a real castaway feel about it.
Classy marinas
Puerto Calero serves up five-star hotels and a superyacht-studded marina. You'll find super-fresh seafood in town, best washed down with a glass of Lanzarote's El Grifo wine. Spanish artist César Manrique has a stylish house in Costa Teguise that’s well worth a look — it showcases towering cacti, bright murals and a modern art gallery.
Volcanic countryside
A lunar landscape decorates the inland sweep of Lanzarote. You can get there on a coach, buggy or camel tour. Head to the circular El Diablo café for lunch — they’ll barbeque your lunch using geothermal energy.
Left it a bit late booking your break? We’ve got a great selection of last minute holidays to Lanzarote — whether you’re after a few nights, two weeks, or somewhere in-between.
