Puerto San Miguel holidays
Jump to sections
Holidays to Puerto San Miguel take you to a calm side of Ibiza, where days and nights are equally relaxed and the capital is an easy drive away.
Small and secluded
A world away from its partying neighbours, Puerto San Miguel sits in a cocoon of pine trees on the northwest coast of Ibiza. It’s a quiet, understated place with a modest collection of seafront restaurants – one of which is famous throughout the island. When it comes to sterling reputations, though, the beach here is hard to beat.
A beach in a bay
As settings go, the beach at Puerto San Miguel has done pretty well for itself. It sits in a small bay with a backdrop of pine-clad cliffs. A short stroll across the soft shingle takes you into the calm waters of the Med, and you’re within easy walk of the beach-side eating places. There’s a good selection of watersports, including pedalos and banana boats along with a dive and sailing school.
Walks with a view
Those pine-clad cliffs are irresistible to walkers, who like nothing better than hiking up into the countryside – even if it can be a bit steep in places. For a different sort of view, there’s a walk from the beach to a 3,000-year-old pirate tower, where you can take the narrow steps to the top and look out right across the coast.
Daytrips around the island
You can be in Santa Eulalia in 30 minutes from here. The town has a pretty river walk from the beach, plus art galleries, stylish shops and a famous Street of Restaurants. Or in about the same time you can get to the capital, Ibiza Town. The highlight here is Dalt Vila – the old town – which packs in a castle, cathedral and lots of museums on its steep slope.
