View All DealsHolidays to Figueretas put you within walking distance of Ibiza Town. But this family-friendly place knows how to stand on its own two feet, as well, with a great beach scene and lots of entertainment.
Figueretas is a popular spot for all the right reasons. Its family-friendly beach features a palm-lined promenade scored with restaurants, bars and local artisan-run craft stalls. Perhaps best of all, though, is its location. This place nudges right up to the edges of Ibiza Town – away from the thick of the action, but close enough to walk to the island's capital. What's more, its position means that the promenade boasts views both to the sea and to Ibiza Town's old walled quarter.
Figueretas has the closest sands to Ibiza Town. The crescent-shaped beach is no more than 100 metres long, but it showcases all of this Balearic Island's trademark features. There always seems to be plenty of room for sunbathers ready to flop on the parasol-shaded loungers. Plus, there are showers and lifeguards, and a hoard of drinks spots and shops behind the shorefront. For the more energetically inclined, activities range from kayaking and pedalos to the more surprising clown school and martial arts demonstrations.
Figueretas is well-placed for getting out and about in Ibiza. It’s only a 15-minute stroll north to Ibiza Town’s bars, clubs and restaurants, and 10 minutes on foot to Playa d’en Bossa’s long beach and cavalry of watersports and kids’ entertainment. The beach is also the jumping-off point for day trips. Boats run from the jetty to Es Cana’s Wednesday hippie market, for example, where hundreds of locals sell jewellery, tie-dye clothes, and leather goods.
