    Time for a change

    After coming to this hotel for the last 20 years it’s time to change I’ve always enjoyed my stay but sadly this hotel is fast becoming very tired looking The carpets and public furnishings are faded and grubby - the rooms are dirty - the amount of dirt / dust under the bed was unbelievable and even the hand rail on the balcony was filthy The food is disappointingly repetitive night after night and the staff once so cheery look positively miserable To top it all the wellness centre is dirty with noticeable filth round the water line in the pools and a lot of the tiles in the pools are missing and in some cases bare concrete is visible I’m sad to be writing this - I never thought I would but it’s now time for a change of hotels

    We have stayed here and reviewed here before so I will be brief. Nice to see that the restaurant has had a more modern makeover and the food is still good. One thing I found strange was the policy of room cleaning - 3 days our room wasn't cleaned, when I enquired from the receptionist she said that it was because while we had gone to breakfast we had put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We were usually out of the room by 10am with the sign removed but the room wasn't cleaned. The old signs had "do not disturb" on one side and "please make up my room" on the other. That made perfect sense. The wellness spa needs attention, many mosaic tiles are missing in the deep pool and is therefore unsafe, I heard that people had been cut. Apart from those negatives we did enjoy our time here and hope to come back soon.
    Lovely hotel but could be improved

    We have spent a lovely week in this hotel and I will try to be as honest as possible. We were allocated a room on the 6th floor. The room was spotless, but no air conditioning just ceiling fans. Usual plastic chairs on the balcony but ground floor rooms have nice wicker chairs - be nice to have the same in all rooms. Food - the buffet was standard fare with some days better than others. Dessert menu seems to be reused from day to day. The terrace bar serves food which is of a good standard and can recommend the steak on a hot stone. Staff - all staff were friendly and attentive throughout the hotel. Pool area - plenty of sun beds, and outside seating areas, only let down by youngsters using the jacuzzi pool as their own play pool and no staff monitoring these areas. Spa - lovely spa let down by lots of missing tiles in the main pools. Nice way to cool down and relax after soaking up the sun all day.

    Just back from our week at Eugenia Victoria and we couldn’t be any happier for choosing this hotel. Customer service is outstanding, staff is very helpful and friendly especially Reception staff (especially the Italian Mauro) always welcoming you with a smile. Food selections is great, plenty of options and meat or fish freshly grilled everyday. Everything was delicious and tasty! The rooms are very nice and big and mattresses very comfortable. I was amazed by how clean every indoor and outdoor area are and staff works very hard to keep every area spotless. Well done to waiters and cleaner for their outstanding work! The hotel is rated 3 stars which is a shame because to us it looked more like a 4 star! We will definitely return again!

    We have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel, the food was good plenty to choose from, the only down side to the restaurant is the tables are not cleared and reset , people were doing this themselves, and the waitresses did not smile or speak to you, the only lady that was nice was the older ladies who did the drinks. There should be a manager on the door as you go in. The bar staff were good but sometimes I felt as though I had bandages on , but I think you get this in most hotels. The entertainment at the outside bar was good even the guests. The rooms were clean and spaceous. There is plenty of sun loungers to go around so no need to put your towels out at a stupid time we went down at 10 am and got two.
