This hotel puts you in easy reach of PortAventura, as well as the shops, bars and restaurants of Salou.
Location-wise, this place is 15 minutes’ walk from PortAventura theme park, and slightly less to the beach, as well as Salou’s shops, bars and restaurants. Plus, outside the hotel there’s a stop for the land train and buses.
There’s a main pool and a small pool for very young guests next to it. The restaurant mixes Spanish favourites with things like pizza. And in the evenings, parrot shows and tribute shows top the entertainment list.

We went as a group of a few families. My partner doesn’t drink so we usually go to bed before midnight, so we can get up early. The noise of the entertainment made this impossible as our room overlooked the pool. For 7 nights, we both lay in bed wondering when the racket from downstairs would end. I genuinely came home more tired, than when I left. The entertainment team were so irritating we couldn’t bear to be anywhere near the pool. Food was edible at best, but we tended to eat outside the hotel. Staff at the inside bar were rude. Completely ignored customers and began secondary tasks, such as restocking fridges. They looked genuinely surprised to be interrupted after we’d been standing there for 5minutes. Door key had to be reset everyday, as it would just stop working. Overall, we would not return. More
As with most things there are positives and negatives. First the negatives. • Just come back from a week's stay. We found this hotel very very noisy - you can hear everything through the walls, conversations and when they have a shower/flush the loo it's like it's in your room! We had a pool facing room on 2nd floor above the outside patio area and bar and again this provided a lot of noise going on until almost midnight. • My bed was uncomfortable as you could feel all the springs and it was squeaky however my husband's bed was ok. • We found the choices at lunchtime a little lacking - one cold meat (when at breakfast there's a choice of around 8). • As it's coming towards the end of the season they shut the outside bar by the pool halfway through the week, emptied and dismantled it when it was still very hot (26-28 degrees). • Paid €23 for the safe and was given a different colour room card to open the safe but the "normal" room card also opened the safe. Queried this with reception who reprogrammed the cards but still both cards opened it. Emailed the manager as didn't feel this was secure, manager responded and reception explained both cards can open the safes in some cases but it is secure. Perhaps bear this in mind before paying for the safe - check if your room card works first! Now for the positives. • Great location - 5 minutes to the nearest shops and around 10 minutes to the fab beach. Just down the road from Portaventura Park and Ferrari Land. Nice area. • Lovely sized pool and clean - just very cold. • Plenty of space for sun beds around the pool. • Drinks cheap. • Omelette station at breakfast- freshly cooked to order with a choice of 9 different fillings. • Salad bar at lunchtime has a great selection. • If you're half board you can swap dinner for lunch. • 3 English tv channels to keep you entertained if you like to watch in morning/evening/if it's raining. • Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels. Perfect location, perfect for couples and families! Most relaxing holiday!
Me and my partner have just returned from a week long stay at Hotel Villa Romana in Salou. Having never been to Spain before we were very excited to see what it had to offer. This hotel did not disappoint! Our flight was delayed but the reception desk was manned 24 hour so this was not a problem. After a speedy check in we went to our room which was so clean and had a balcony with a beautiful view! We booked bed and breakfast which was perfrect. Alfredo greeted us each morning for breakfast and the restaurant was clean with a wide selection of food to choose from! The hotel was located perfectly! It took about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the beach and the same to walk to the theme park, Portaventura! The entertainment staff were superb in particular one member called Fany (?) Who was so friendly and would take the time to stop and have a chat with everyone. On our last day we left our luggage in the secure room in the basement. Unfortunately we did not catch the name of the man who was in charge of this room however again he was so friendly. All of the members of staff we came across were so welcoming and it was clear that they enjoyed their jobs and that customer satisfaction was their main priority! After speaking to other people who were holidaying at different hotels in the area it was very clear we picked the best one! I would highly recommend this hotel and when we return to Salou it will deffinetly be to this hotel!!More
Not a 4 star
Just returned from a weeks holiday half board not a bad hotel but not a 4 star the food was good the service in the restaurant mainly the females was shocking the crockery was chipped and glasses we had to clean every time we went in along with the cutlery reception staff were amazing entertainment through the day was vertu ally non existing night time was rubbish the drinks were not great but my one hate was flimsy plastic glasses even at the table and chairs you had to have plastic even the wine it's situated 10 minutes from beach shops and bars so great location and the pool is lovely so because we got the holiday cheap it wasn't bad don't think I will return though very boring hotel More
Good value for money hotel
This is our second stay at this hotel .Still good value, clean and comfortable..Had a choice of rooms on arrival and picked a poolside room that got plentu of sun in the afternoon.Rooms very spacious and very clean.Plenty of choice of food but if "parky" could get repedative. No fishing boat this visit filled with seafood in the restaurant this year which was a pity.Visited the indoor Spar .this needs a bit of attention especially the hole in the wooden floor and the beds to relax on need replacing with new ones as some were partly broken and the plastic covering looked very dirty. At least half the people in the spar were not wearing a cap. It would be very handy to have some basic information in the room to indicate the facilities and TV channels and facilities.Apar from these niggles otherwise ok.Entertainment quite average except for the Polonesion dancers and the parrot show. The singer on after the parrot show had to compete with squarks from the parrots and the owner taking photos with them whilst the artist singing.Chocolate and Fanny work hard and engage with the many nationalities present.More
