    You can’t get away from the views here – and, frankly, when they’re this good you wouldn’t want to.

    Mount Vesuvius sits across the water from this hotel, and the islands of Iscia and Procida get a look in, too. Views aside, you’re close to Sorrento’s shops, cafés and restaurants – about 15 minutes’ walk.

    The rooftop pool has great views over the bay. In the evenings, the restaurant serves candlelit meals on the terrace when the weather's warm.

    Wonderful Hotel with Wonderful Staff

    This was our third visit to the wonderful Minerva. It is an incredibly beautiful, well appointed hotel with everything you could ask for. The rooms are lovely and clean. The air con is great at night. The shower was fantastic. I've reviewed before so won't repeat myself too much but have to mention the wonderful staff, especially Nino and his team in the restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble and they all really pull out all the stops to make every meal special. I wish I could name them all here. We were on the set menu (there is an a la carte) but substitutions were easily made where something didn't suit. The food was delicious as always and the restaurant's amazing views really are the best in Sorrento. The Terrace Bar shares the amazing views. There is an extensive list of drinks available from soft drinks to classic cocktails and the excellent and wonderfully friendly Antonio will even make you a unique cocktail suited perfectly to your taste. The pool area and snack bar on the roof terrace are wonderfully clean and perfect for sun lovers, The bar area is shaded and there are some shaded areas with loungers for those people (like me) who are not suited to too much sun. The wifi had also improved since our last visit and was fast and reliable. You'll come back to the Minerva again and again for the amazing views and wonderfully kind and amazing staff. I can't wait to book for next year.

    Fabulous hotel in Sorrento. The staff are delightful and made us very very welcome, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are a delight, clean and all you need catered for. If you want something a bit special look no further!! Well done Hotel Minerva!!

    We really enjoyed our stay at the minerva hotel. The staff were really helpful, and friendly, many thanks to Nino, I'm coeliac and he explained about all the different dishes I could eat. The hotel rooms are very clean, bright and airy, with beautiful views over the bay of naples. The road is busy but that can't be helped, sorrento is a main town and the road is the main conduit. However the rooms high up don't hardly hear the traffic. Many thanks.

    Had a brilliant time in this wonderful hotel, the staff are so friendly and the hotel is great. The food and dinning experience overlooking mount Vesuvius and Sorrento Bay and Napels is nothing short of stunning. A unique hotel that captures a family hotel atmosphere with top top genuine friendly service. The hotel balcony is amazing as is the the roof top pool. Its a short 10 min walk down into Sorrento town, which is excellent. Be careful of the traffic however as the drivers are mad and the pavements narrow!

    Stayed in July: I challenge you to find a better view and a better place to dine over looking the Bay of Naples. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. All the restaurant staff are lovely and the bar staff look after you well. The food is excellent, it’s like eating out in a top restaurant every night, Nino will explain each dish how it is cooked and then you choose what you like. The day you arrive get a lift to reception and walk out and the view takes your breath away look at Vesuvius on the other side of the bay. Simple outstanding hotel, the best I’ve stayed in. Other nice touches don’t pay for safe, have a free courtesy room to clean up on your last day, free towels etc. I will be back ,
