    Front desk Carlos was a gentleman. The lady with dark and short hair, not nice, don't look at you when you talk, not polite, just answered what she wanted to. Hotel is old but is a great hotel, great breakfast, good food, great location closed to the center and traim station. No noises from street, you will sleep good. I recomend the hotel.
    Decent hotel for a few days

    Stayed for 3 nights as we booked late so not oceanfront. Clean, comfortable tourist type hotel only a 5 minute walk from the heart of Sorrento. Older finishes, but fine. No view but had a balcony. Rooftop unheated pool. Included breakfast buffet which was ok, not fabulous.

    We have just spent a week at the Cesare Augusto, as part of a coach tour package. We chose it because of its proximity to the centre of the town: literally 5 minutes' stroll from the main square. We were not disappointed. The hotel was clean, the staff (English speaking) friendly and efficient and the rooms comfortable. There was a choice of four starters and four main dishes for every evening meal: plus a self-service salad bar to start with and a self-service array of puddings. All items changed daily. Breakfasts were self service, except for coffee or tea, which were delivered to the table by waiting staff. There was a roof terrace bar next to the roof pool, with views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Overall, a nice little find!

    The room was clean and spacious enough and had a great view of Vesuvius across the bay of Naples. Comfy beds and (oh joy) a bidet! We enjoyed sunbathing on the roof although the pool took your breath away when you got in (chill) but quickly acclimatised. Great bar service up there. Dining was pleasant - breakfast was a buffet style and plentiful, dinner was served by charming waiters. There was a decent choice of starter, main and dessert and we were left comfortably full. The big plus for this hotel is that it is right in the centre (fortunately the double glazing kept a lot of the traffic noise at bay). If you are looking for 4 star chic, this won't be the hotel for you though.

    Stayed here 4 nights late July. The hotel is clean and very well kept but stuck somewhere in the 60's or 70's. Looks like everything is original but it is all well kept. It really felt like going back in time. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and we loved having the balcony to enjoy a glass of wine when we got back to the room after a day of sight-seeing. Great location to walk to the ferry to get to Capri, Positano and Amalfi. The old town is a short walk away with many restaurants, bars and shopping. Breakfast was typical buffet with enough to choose from to start the day. Would definitely stay here again.
