    The family-run Alykes Garden Village has a quiet, countryside setting, between the beach town of Alykes and Katastari village. TripAdvisor reviewers really rate it – it nabbed a Certificate of Excellence this year.

    With a backdrop of olive groves and fruit orchards, this place has a really peaceful feel. You’re not cut off, though – Alykes and its Blue Flag sandy beach are a 10 minute walk away, as is the traditional village of Katastari.

    Studios and apartments are simple and comfortable, with balconies and handy kitchenettes. There’s a pool and sun terrace outside, plus a water-side snack bar.

    Excellent place to stay, clean and tidy with a friendly atmosphere...great service and dedication by Jimmy and Soula to their guests. In times of the unexpected emergency no better people to provide help and reassurance.
    Great mountain views.

    Lovely quiet hotel in a rural setting. Very hot as 1/2 mile inland. Hotel bar and snack bar appear to be in competition with each other. Long hot walk down winding pathless road to town and beach. Walked twice a day. Staying fit on holiday.

    We had an amazing week in Alykes. Never been to Zante before but will definitely be back. The hotel was wonderful. It was spotless. It was cleaned everyday even when we had a lazy morning when we got back it was cleaned. It was an ideal family room as it was devided into 2 rooms , perfect for our 15 year old.Jimmy and his family were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The pool was lovely and ideal having a shop on site. The walk into town/beach was fine with a few watering holes to break up the journey.

    We arrived at the resort to be welcomed by Jimmy and a £200 bill for local costs 10 euros a day for air con. 7 Euro for tourist tax (expected) 40 Euro for safe and if you want hairdryer 3euro per day. The resort was nice clean rooms cleaned every day the downside was the 15min walk each way to the town centre. Food in town was excellent and reasonably priced. Would recommend going on the train to the mountains for the tour and wine.

    We arrived late afternoon to be greeted by Soula who I thought after reading previous reviews to be lovely and friendly. I and other families I met found her abrupt and not very friendly at all. The room we eventually got moved to after a week was lovely. The first room was tiny with 4 beds in a small space. Pool is great but drinks and snacks highly overpriced. Think the prices changed depending on who served you. The walk into town is a leisurely 10 to 15 mins. The beach is ideal for kids, very sandy and shallow water. Restaurants very reasonable and excellent food. Our favourite was el greco. Lovely staff and amazing food. Had a brilliant holiday, would return to alykes but not the garden Village. I expected a very friendly family but unfortunately that wasn't the case.
