Eliso Studios & Apartments

Just back from a brilliant, relaxing holiday with my daughters at Eliso Apartments. Our stay was really peaceful and enabled us to recharge our batteries. The apartment was a one bedroom, with plenty of room for the 3 of us. Basic Greek style, no frills, but all that you need and spotlessly clean with towels changed daily. The pool was lovely and peaceful with no loud music blaring out. It felt tranquil set amongst the pine trees/forest. The pool bar is great, stays open till midnight, does a range of drinks and has a basic food menu at really reasonable prices. We are here on several occasions for breakfast and lunch. We also really enjoyed the weekly bbq. My daughters are veggies, which was no trouble at all as they had a full fish cooked each! Elias and Mandraki beaches are worth the walk. 3 beds and a parasol was €12, so much cheaper thank many other European beaches. Each have a hit/restaurant that sells food and drink. Overall a fabulous stay and we would visit again. As has been said previously in reviews, the family are super friendly and helpful.

We loved the Eliso Studios last June/July and rebooked for July this year and had a delightful 11 day stay. Nothing has changed, it is perfect for us. A short 300 mtr walk from the main road (Bus Stop 23) it is set in beautiful pine trees with the crickets announcing their presence continually. Spotlessly clean, a love pool area, a simple bar area, and just 16 rooms so no over crowding.No need to place towels on sunbeds in the early hours here. 10 minutes walk to the busy Koukanaries Beach or a nice 30 minute stroll through the pine forests to the much quieter beaches of Mandraki where the sea is as clear as it is possible to get. There are people going to the Eliso who have been going every year for the last 20 years and more, it's that type of place. A family run business, nothing is too much trouble. If you want a quiet, relaxing base to stay and explore beautiful Skiathios then you cannot do better than the Eliso. A word of caution though, it is not really a place for children if you want to spend your day here, there is nothing to do other than the pool. We found the buses into town a lot busier this year and if you time it wrong at night then prepare to miss one or two buses before they can squeeze you on one. We found that once the bus had taken on all the beachgoers at bus stops 26-24 heading back to town then the bus is invariably full, and I mean FULL! There again for 2 Euros you can't really complain. To summarise then, I love the Eliso and am sure I will return again at some point.
