    In a prime spot on the edge of Santorini’s caldera, the Belvedere Suites team incredible views with a central location in Thira.

    Sweeping seascapes are par for the course at this hotel, which has been built into the cliff-face on the edge of Santorini’s caldera. It’s in the heart of Firostefani, just a 15-minute walk from the capital, Thira.

    The hotel’s aesthetics are in keeping with the island – think sugar-cube buildings with smooth arches. Inside, rooms are dressed in all-white décor, with flowing muslin on the windows and sink bowls carved from stone.

    The hotel is located right outside the capital city of Fira and is a great central location where you can head south to the bustling capital or many beaches, or head north to visit the amazing city of Oia. The staff were very helpful in arranging the rental of an ATV, highly recommended for a couple that wants to explore the island, as well as our transport to and from the airport. We got upgraded to a junior suite that had a balcony with the perfect view of course. The pool area is private enough where you can lay out and relax allowing the bar staff to fetch you whatever drinks or snacks you desire. An overall great stay from start to finish.

    On arrival we were told we had been UPGRADED to a junior sweet. The junior sweet is slightly further away from the main hotel but has an amazing balcony and view. The room is like an apartment as it was very big with living rooms, kitchen sink area and separate cave room. The views from this hotel are spectacular and the location is perfect as you are a small walk from Fira or imerovigli. It’s a lot quieter than Fira and has lots of lovely restaurants and a few shops too. We even did the hike from the hotel to Oia which is approximately 9miles (mostly up hill) and then got the two Euro bus back. We also got the bus from Fira to Kamari which again was about 2 euros. It was great to see the other side of the island but unfortunately nothing was open as holiday season hadn’t started in Kamari yet, they were painting all the hotels and getting all the restaurants ready. Fira, Firosteffani and Oia were all ready and open for business. All the staff are very friendly at Belvedere and always ready to help. The bar area/pool staff are fantastic, very polite, friendly and make good drinks too. The weather wasn’t too good for our weeks stay but unfortunately that can not be helped. We came to santorini a year previous in May and the weather was a lot better. I would definitely recommend coming in the summer months. Overall our stay at Belvedere was fantastic and I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Great location, great hotel, great holiday.

    We stayed here for our honeymoon and it exceeded our expectations. The pool area is fabulous. The bartenders were very attentive and really worked hard to make everyone happy. The front desk staff were fantastic. They helped us rent a four wheeler our first day and it was such an easy process. They have the pamphlet ready and will call the company. They were at the hotel within 10 minutes if we wanted. It was so convenient; he came to us. We signed the contract at the hotel and we were done. It was a 24 hour rental and all we had to do was give the key to the front desk when it was time. It was literally no hassle. We also scheduled a massage in which I recommend scheduling a day or so in advanced. We got there on a Friday and scheduled the couples massage for Sunday. The spa is at a sister location about a 5-8 minute drive from the Belvedere. But again, the hotel made all the accommodations of transportation and scheduling. I couldn't ask for anything more. Our room was great. We had our own balcony and it was just lovely. A perfect place for our honeymoon.

    Lovely hotel, great location and great concierge with excellent tour options. The grounds are very photogenic and it's a simple walk to Old Town and other parts of Santorini. The rooms were always a tad moist but perhaps that's normal being so close tot he ocean?

    The hotel room was lovely- very spacious, clean and had a beautiful view of the sea. It was a great location which was close to great restaurants and small shops. I wouldn’t recommend using their transport to and from the airport as it is expensive and could be done cheaper.
