Hotel Porto Mykonos

Me and my partner stayed two nights we enjoyed it alot, the view from our room was nice. Food was decent we had breakfast incl and a dinner meal one night, Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially markos and george from the bar.

Summary: I highly DO NOT recommend this hotel as the cleaning staff went through our personal items, then stole money and personal belongings. Reporting to the hotel management did nothing as they were unhelpful and arrogant. They called all the cleaning staff out to confront us and that night, my family never felt more fearful of our lives. More Details: Stolen Money: My family and friends stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. On the 1st morning, I went for breakfast and came back to my cash stolen from my belongings. It was just breakfast mind you. They had gone through my stuff, my parent's stuff and the stuff of our friends. We came back and found certain belongings in odd / unfamiliar places. My cash money and another friend's expensive facial product were missing. Careless of me and lesson learnt for sure. Unhelpful and arrogant management: Knowing that no one would ever admit to stealing anything. We approached the hotel management nicely to inform them of what happened and that we just needed a report to file for insurance claims. We thought they would help cus they were so nice initially. But things turned very ugly very fast. All the cleaning staff were summoned to the front desk immediately. We tried to be kind and polite, focusing on the insurance claim and not the blame. But all the cleaning staff gave us death stares. They stared at us so hard, it felt threatening. No surprises sherlock that everyone denied taking anything. To which the hotel management then pushed the blame to us and shrugged it off. They did not even want to help us call the police, did not want to give us the police number and said we had to travel out to the police station (15mins away) ourselves in a foreign land to make the police report. Unsafe: That is NOT the WORST. While all this was happening, one of the cleaning staff sneaked into my sister's room while she was in the toilet. We have full video footage of that and will be more than happy to share it. The lady just walked right into the room without consent and when she was caught by my terrified sister. She claimed that she was just using the phone in the room to speak to the reception. LIKE WHAT IS THAT EVEN? Mind you the cleaning ladies had a room of their own just 10 steps away. Can you imagine them walking in when you were sleeping?? Throughout the rest of our stay, we were made to feel extremely unwelcome. Death stares and whispers. That night my family and friends slept in fear. We had to barricade the doors with chairs and check that no drugs/foreign objects were stashed into our personal belongings as part of revenge. Now back home, the insurance company has denied my claim as it was stolen in my hotel room and my money is lost forever. (Insurance apparently does not cover that unless it was locked in a safe) I highly highly DO NOT recommend Porto Mykonos - unsafe and not helpful. PS: There were 1-2 really nice hotel staff but I still DO NOT recommend your stay here. I was unlucky, I would have liked to like this place.

Like the location of the hotel. Handy to the town. Helpful staff, friendly. Nice dinner and breakfast in the dining room. We were with a Collette bus tour. 42 people. The water in the shower was luke warm, in April you want a hot shower. Quite a few people complained about cold showers. Not easy to work the lights if you do not put the magnet in correctly - only some of the lights work otherwise. Rooms clean . Beds hard - they need mattress toppers - told they are only on the double beds. Not the best hotel in Greece.
