    This property’s whitewashed buildings are draped across a hillside, giving it the look and feel of an authentic Greek hamlet – not to mention postcard-worthy sea views.

    The Hotel Aegean Village takes its village moniker seriously. Thanks to its sugar cube buildings, which are dotted across a palm tree-speckled hill, it really looks the part. And where the hillside ends, a golden beach begins.

    You’ll find the restaurant, bars and pools at the bottom of the hill. The top of the hill is reserved for rooms – if you don’t fancy the walk, there’s a free, 24-hour minibus that shuttles you to your door and back.

    Amazing resort right next to the beach, great for young couples

    We stayed at Lagas Aegean Village for 10 nights, and after reading reviews we were really looking forward to it as there was very few poor recommendations. We were absolutely not let down! This place was amazing from start to finish. Located literally steps away from the beach, the location could not have been better. We came as a young couple looking to have a lively holiday, so a 10/15 minute walk into kardemena centre for the pubs and clubs was great. There were some nights we didn’t even need to go out into town as the hotel entertainment was great! They have 2 cocktail bars and both are amazing, so many choices of great cocktails and the staff are literally the best in any resort we have stayed, so friendly and chatty. The pool is huge but you can always get a sunbed, it is always clean and the pool bar right beside it is so handy. The rooms were so so nice, spacious and clean, we had a room on the lowest down floor so wasn’t too much of a walk, but still had a lovely view with palm trees right outside it. Going to Greece vegan was something I really worried about, as a lot of people don’t even know what that is abroad. In the morning for breakfast, there was no non- dairy milk. I mentioned this to the staff, who could not have been nicer and ran to get me some from the fridge in the milk. Every morning after, the chef would bring me some soya milk. There were plenty of options for veggies and vegans!! At dinner time, there were also options for vegans, however this was not the best. Most of the salad had cheese/ mayo/ egg in it which was annoying. There was usually always a pasta or veg that I could have, and the soup was always vegan and so tasty. However the chef and staff were amazing at dealing with this. There was one night there were no main options at all for me, and the chef specially made me pasta with tomato sauce and veg which was so kind of him, it really made my holiday! My boyfriend is non veggie tho and he absolutely loved every meal he had, it was all freshly prepared with loads of authentic Greek stuff. The only one thing I would mark this place down for was that when we arrived the receptionists were extremely rude to us which kind of was a bad first impression of the hotel. Not sure if it was because we arrived late at night! She demanded we have a booking confirmation printed out which we do not have, as I have never been to a hotel which requires you to have this as usually the hotel have this on their database?! She was sulking the entire time talking to us which made us feel very uncomfortable, like she just wanted us to go away. Overall Kos was a brilliant place to go on holiday, especially for a young couple. Kardemena especially there is so much to do, even as a family, an older couple or whatever. We done the 3 island boat trip which was definitely the best day trip and we 100% recommend. We also took a trip to Kos Town, went to the water park, went to Bodrum turkey, rented quads and went to all the lovely beaches like paradise beach. We would 100% come back to Kos and would definitely stay at Lagas Aegean again!

    Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Kardamena centre Breakfast & Evening meal really good there is so much choice Rooms cleaned regularly and have air con very comfortable Pool area is great spent majority of time in kids pool perfect hight for toddlers Entertainment & Kids club were great wieste & miguel did a great job in getting everyone involved my children still talk about them now! I would recommend & will be back again!

    FOOD - not everyone may be satisfied. Breakfasts are same everyday so it gets boring. Dinner times have few changes but again very repetetive. During dinner time it takes them quite long to bring drinks even if you order just a water. We found ourselves always through at least half a meal before any drink was served. no children menu during dinner time ie chips nuggets etc. However they are available during snack time but they are paid items. Drinks - work out very expensive comparing to local bars Quite a bit of a walk from main floor if you are in top level like 500s or 600s but they do operate 24/7 FREE mini bus service. Long trousers required during dinner - a lot of guest straight after dinner go and change back to shorts. Strange thing is that smoking is allowed during dinner time in outside part of restaurant. Not pleasant especially when you eat with your children. Pool is very nice - depth from 0.7m to 2.70m so anyone will find it suitable for themselves. Water is not cold so perfectly fine to enjoy your holiday in pool. Hotel staff really does look after hotel and its appearence Rooms Very clean rooms. They do come in different colours though. We have booked twin room with additional sofa - ON TUI WEBSITE THEY ONLY SHOW ONE IN BLUE COLOURS. We have been placed in BROWN AND YELLOW - colours that we hate. When informed TUI rep Vaso -she did everything to get this rectified and we have been offered 2 different replacement rooms from very polite manager at reception. Sun beds - good availability. We did not have problems finding 3 for us everyday. Car rental at hotel - more expensive than in village. usually about10-15 euros for the same car. Walk to the villlage takes about 20 minutes. Village offers good variety of shops restaurants and bars. Entartaiment team is great. Very nice and cheering. They entertain adult in daytime and do great job with children at 9pm so hats off to the guys. We enjoyed our stay so much however I do not think so that we would be going there again. More like 3 star hotel rather than 4.

    I really can'tbelieve people complain about the 'repetetive' breakfast. Last year in Zante our breakfast choice was cereal, ham cheese and tomatoes, bread and long life croissants.. Here there is fresh fruit, about 6 different tinned fruit, dried friuts and nuts, yoghurt, honey and preserves, freshly baked bread and rolls, everything i mentione above from last year as well as a hot choice of fried, boiled or scrambled eggs, bacon sausage and beans..oh pancakes too. No toaster but no big deal... what else could be included to satisfy the whingers, chips or pizza? Best breakfast choice I've had in Greece.. Dinner always had a choice of 3 or 4 meat dishes, always a fish dish, a couple of different pastas and potatoes and was cooked well and was a good quality.. No chips which I didn't mind.. Lots of choice for puds too... Our room was level 2 so didn't need to use the shuttle bus.. Room was lovely, very clean and lots of toiletry kits too.. Add the free aircon, safe and fridge and I'd say this is a fantastic place to stay..Beach over the road, 6 euro for 2 beds and a bonus is they have a fridge selling drinks, 1.80 for a can of Mythos can't be bad.. Staff are lovely and work very hard, a credit to the hotel.

    Charmingly laid out holiday resort and not too big and grand like some of the other resorts down the road (which I thought took away from the island). The apartments were thoughtfully built with landscaped gardens, each with a balcony. Ours was spacious, clean and comfortable - all we could ask and more by having a kettle and fridge, and cleaned every day. We went half-board with a view that we may have to eat out if food not great, but did not need to as food was more than above-average with a wide selection . Mini bus runs up and down the hill 24/7 as it is a bit of steep walk to the top as we were, especially in the heat of the day. So that is a good little service. Beach ok but a bit stony when trying to get into the sea. Shame they can't remove some of the rocks to make it easier to get in and out of water. Visited town of Kos and Nisyros volcanic island (seen from our balcony) both worth a journey, We were especially taken with Nisyros - fantastic place and only an hour's boat ride from Kardamena - a mile up the road from resort. Good bars and nice atmosphere in evening - Stone Roses bar we enjoyed run by British folks with obviously good music! Basically, if you want somewhere that is fairly quiet and relaxing, clean, comfortable, good food, nice town nearby and amenities, then this is the one for you.
