If you like your hotels pretty, peaceful and with plenty of personality, the family-run Lassi Hotel should be on your shortlist.
Thanks to its hillside, out-of-town spot, peace and quiet reigns supreme at the Lassi Hotel. And yet it’s just a 20-minute walk from the lively town centre of Lassi.
Whitewashed walls, terracotta roof tiles and a spacious pool terrace decorate the Lassi Hotel. Inside, a recent refurbishment has given the place a really fresh feel.

My wife and I stayed at the Lassi Hotel for 2 weeks in June 2017 booked through Jet2. I was reluctant to review the hotel because we had a problem with our room allocation which was resolved, but we spoke to another couple who had the same experience and refused to stay at the hotel as there was no other room available. The problem with our room (22) was that it was in an annexe to the main building consisting of two ground floor rooms and two 1st floor rooms. The room was very dark and only had one small window with shutters, When the shutters were opened to provide light, it looked straight out onto the pool area providing no privacy at all. We immediately complained but were initially told there were no other rooms and that the room was a studio so was actually an upgrade. In fact it was more like a prison cell than a holiday apartment and was so dingy we would have had to have the lights on permanently while in the room. See photos. The room sported what was laughingly called a balcony but was not actually part of the room, so to use it we would have had to leave the room and lock the door behind us. Fortunately, we were offered and accepted another room in the main building which was better, but I think there are much nicer rooms, so beware when booking. The couple I mentioned earlier were allocated the room next to us which had no window at all, just a glass entry door which when opened exposed most of the room including the bed to anyone passing by, Even less privacy than our room. This couple refused to stay or even unpack and were eventually moved to another hotel having wasted nearly two days of their one week holiday. In my view these two rooms are unacceptable. It's not a luxurious hotel by any means. The rooms are small and the shower is very basic with a curtain that doesn't contain the water, so floods the shower/toilet room floor, but the accommodation is OK for a couple of weeks providing you aren't given one of the rooms I've mentioned. Having explained the issue, if I could guarantee an upper floor sea facing room, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Lassi in the future, That's my grumble over. Now the positives. Breakfast was good if a bit chaotic and the staff were reasonably friendly but businesslike. The hotel is at the bottom of a hill which might be a problem for some people but for us is ideally placed because we enjoy walking. There are lots of really nice restaurants on the main strip and we didn't have a bad meal the whole fortnight. There's a lovely sea front garden restaurant a few hundred yards away which is good for lunch. As I said, we like to walk. Argostoli is the main town and is about 30 to 45 minutes walk, but is hard going, especially the return journey. However, it's less than 10 minutes by taxi and is fairly cheap. Really worth a visit. Really enjoyed our holiday in the resort of Lassi despite the problems we encountered with the Lassi Hotel at the beginning.More
We have just returned from the Lassi hotel, where we stayed for 11 nights (late September).Check in was very fast and simple. We had room 220 which was spacious and at the end of the corridor. Unfortunately we did not get any sun on the balcony. Towels were changed every 2 days and rooms were cleaned every day. We did not have to pay for the air condition, safe or fridge. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Unfortunately the menu never changed. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool, but it was too cold to stay in for very long. We tended to go to the beech which was about 350 metres from the hotel. The beech was very nice and the sea very clear. 7 euros for 2 sunbeds and umbrella for the day. There were ample restaurants around. We found Amvrosia to be about the best and used this several times.More
Fabulous hotel with amazing staff!
This hotel is in a great location, right next to the sea and a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and bars. We had a sea view room with a big balcony. The rooms aren't massive but we spent very little time in them so it didn't matter. The room is equipped with a fridge and air con and the wifi is free. The breakfast had everything we wanted and it was lovely to sit outside and eat. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Elizabeth was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. Enjoy your break and hopefully we will see you again soon. Jo and LizMore
Great breakfast with local produce
This is a rather big establishment with various types of rooms/apartments. We stayed in a separate house with four studios with fairly big terraces. The room had everything you could ask for, fridge, small kitchen cupboard with utensils etc. Good beds and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was very nice with local produce such as youghurt, honey, olives and cheese. There is a large pool with a bar that serves simple lunch dishes such as hamburgers and sandwiches. A small drawback is that you have to leave your room at 10 am.More
We stayed here for seven nights, arriving on 19th September. The hotel is ideally located and has fantastic views. The staff are all extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Plenty of eating places within a short walking distance (be sure to ask for their recommendations - you won’t be disappointed). A good breakfast is provided and the rooms are well serviced. Will definitely return.More
