This cosy village sits on Kefalonia’s south-east coast, around a one-hour drive away from the island’s capital, Argostoli. There are Greek tavernas dotted along the waterfront, where fresh seafood’s always on the menu, and if you fancy venturing out you can jump onboard a ferry for a spot of island-hopping. Mainland Greece, Zakynthos and Ithaca are all within daytripping distance. Closer to home, the likes of Melissani Lake, the Monastery of Atros and Drogarati Cave are all within easy reach, too.
